The Lee Navy Rifle - A Unique Choice

  • In 1895 the US Navy adopted the Winchester-Lee Rifle, and it was... well it was a choice. The odd straight pull tilting bolt... the strange manual of arms... the bizarre and almost broken looking floating extractor. It doesn't take too much analysis to see why the Lee Navy never caught on.
This rifle and specially reloaded and hard to acquire ammunition was provided for shooting and filming by Tenacious Trilobite, who also provided the thumbnail and assisted in the filming. Special thanks to him... Go watch his channel now!

Very nice rifle, could have done with another year or so to iron out the kinks. 🙂

Parkhurst cooked up an improved version he called the Model 1899, but it was too late by then. Kind of a shame. A lot of novel concepts in this design that were never explored further

Trilobite shoots the Judge's Schwarzlose, and the Judge shoots the Trilobite's Lee Navy.
    Wonderful exchange of unique firearms!
