Sooji is basically semolina, upma is a dish from it which is salty and mild spicy. This is more popular in South India. Upma tastes good when its hot. By same sooji halwa (Sweet Dish) is also prepared which is popular in North India.

If you are still in Mumbai, try Amar Juice Center in Vile Parle (during night for Pav Bhaji... better than Juhu beach or Girgaon beach). Also try Lucky sandwich (Vile Parle west, near railway station). These are kind of hidden gems of authentic street food
