The frunk "ISSUE" is not an issue. All cars with automatic hoods or tailgates can get in a confused state. You just manually close (as you did) it won't hurt it.

I currently own an 2021 F-150 XLT, has been a full year with this truck for me, and first truck also. So far so good i love the truck practicality confort traveling with my family from highland ca, thru San Francisco round trip. My question is even if im happy with my current truck, i’m still dreaming to own a ford lightning, as a regular home owner type of use. No solar panels installed currently at home, how ever im an electrician which will cost me $0 labor to install level 2 charger at home. Also my round trip commute from home to work each day is 2.5miles, also free chargers available at work. This factors are pushing me to really consider switch my current F-150. Any thoughts? Will be appreciate it.

I've been driving an EV for a few years, so I understand what you are talking about EVs do not function the same in winter as they do in summer. BUT MY BIGGEST LAUGH is about how the range drops when towing. Have you people realized how much more gas/diesel you are using when towing?? Ya'll have no clue.

Your first mistake was buying an EV!

Stay with gas or diesel. There's no such thing as carbon based climate change. CO2 is only 0.04% and if it lowers to 0.02% it kills off vegetation. Think people!

As a software development professional, let me advise all buyers that you wants as LITTLE software as possible. It is inherently unstable (owing to the possibility of paradoxes which cannot exist with mechanical engineering) and requires enternal patching. Mechanical solution replaced with software = unreliable.

Oklahoma Ford dealers still have year old F-150 Lightnings on lots. This thing has been a huge sales flop in this part of the country.

Aside from the windshield wiper motor, and yours wasn't even bad, none of what you've said is an actual problem. Don't blame Ford on some shitty dealership. A dealership does not = Ford. Dealerships are the bane of all car companies. Again, I didn't watch anything that amounted to any actual major or even minor issues. The door rattle was an easy fix. The trim, sure, that's a quality control issue.

Meanwhile, I bought a 5 year old F150 Lariat for $22,000 with 12,000 miles on it (private sale). I have owned it 8 years, and it now has 180,000 miles on it. It's worth about $10,000 now. Used for the win, private party sale.

ICE Pickup Track are thirsty fuel camels. F150 especially Ram 1500 empty your pockets just with consumption. But now ICE car reliability got a lot of moving parts and requires a lot of cares, hydraulic, break, transmission, engine oil, plugs, coolant, brakes. Are things to service before the manufacture schedule if you want to it to remain reliable until 200k mileage. So, I thought EV are solution but… up front price and range are my biggest concerns. If we had a lot of changer like gaz station and charging is just plug and play for 40min I would have no issue. But my range is questionable yet I don’t know if next charger will work? Or if software will bug… ok I will get myself a horse with a chariot behind
