  • 2022 Ford F 150 Lightning price is just too good for its horsepower and torque specs. Which is the fastest production truck 2022? In this video you get to see a graphical comparison of F150 Lightning vs Raptor, Rivian R1T, Ram TRX on its curb weight, horsepower, and torque. I also estimate the 0-60 time of F-150 Lightning standard range battery edition.

    Since the making of this video, Ford has now up the horsepower on both standard and extended range 2022 F-150 Lightning to 452 HP and 580 HP. That Pro trim is looking even more attractive.

    Hello from Texas! My guy puts out such high quality videos we need to help him blow up! Can't wait to watch all your videos of your Lightning when it comes in. I unfortunately didn't make the cut for the 2022 Lightning but hoping for an invite this summer. Complete side note, but curious, think they will bring the King Ranch trim into the Lightning at some point?

      Hey Hector! Thanks man. I really appreciate your support! I'll try to put my camera to good use especially when my truck arrives. For most people, unless you're trying to make videos for CZcams LOL, they are better off with the 2023 model with less bugs. I could totally see a King Ranch Lightning or even EV Raptor one day.

      @@EVTruckLOG Can't wait for them! That's the flip side would be a few kinks worked out. I fell in love a long time ago with the white King Ranch trim and am really hoping for that to be introduced before I get around to getting my invite. Thanks for your research and all your content!

    Great channel, is there a Hybrid truck that you have check out? I am still on the fence of a full electric I have heard about having to stop and find a charging station and waiting for an hour or two before you can continue on your road trip.

      Thanks so much! I was interested in the F150 Powerboost hybrid earlier, but my priority now is to avoid oil changes and try new tech for this channel. Of course no one knows how long the Hybrid or Electric will hold up for 5-10 years. :)

    I've seen a few leaked ER Lariat window stickers on the Lightning forum that have GVWR at 8,200 and a weight closer to 7,000 lbs. The only sticker I saw that was standard range battery was 6,460 lbs. I'm guessing you are using pro model weights that have no upgrades?
    The platinum supposedly weights 450 lbs more than the XLT with the ER battery. The max tow package (suspension and tow rail) and tow tech package (cameras and weight scale) and a drop in bed liner weigh 370 lbs combined.

    • @EVTruckLOG
      @EVTruckLOG  Před 2 lety

      I'm sure most manufactures do their 0-60 with their base curb weight vehicles. You're right, once you put in all the add-ons like max tow package, the vehicle will weigh much more. The curb weight number is from TFL truck article at the time of the video edit here: tfltruck.com/2022/01/news-2022-ford-f-150-lightning-weighs-less-than-you-may-think/ I tried to look for the windows stickers with the curb weight numbers but I could only find ones with the MPGe and equipment lists. If you have the link for the one with the weight, please share. Thanks!

    I have a question for everyone, Should Ford have a charging station in all Ford dealers of North America? Because my local Ford doesn't have it.

    • @EVTruckLOG
      @EVTruckLOG  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Ramon, good question. Not all Ford dealers are EV Certified. The one you mentioned probably is not. To be certified, you need at least two charging stations. One in the service area and one for customers. It's going to be hard not to be certified in the future. If they end up selling a F150 Lightning at a particular dealer, that truck better be almost fully charged when the buyer drive it home! LOL
