Top 3 Filler Rod mistakes and how to fix them
This is excellent. Haha
Years ago bad gas was rare, but then as companies got bought out and merged cylinders and less people care about quality, now every cylinder I get I immediately hook it up and test it on aluminum, if its bad I'll switch back and forth a couple times to make sure it isn't something I did wrong. About 20% are bad!
Been welding for years, but there are always points to pickup from other people, good video!
Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge it's great to see young people taking pride in what they do. Question, are you by chance a Traveling Man ?? Just checking I saw some of your stuff in the online store . Keep up the good work!
GREAT stuff...thank you.
Love this. Lol
What diameter filler rod did you use for this?
That's not welding. It's art.
Why'd you build a headache rack when you have one sitting on the floor in garage. Sorry, just a firm believer in if it ain't broken don't fix it
Settings on a/c
Hye, may i know what type of tungsten do u used to weld aluminium?
That was hard to watch
The links to your tig welder do not work, none of them
Please show the welding, not your hands and the back of your head. Thank you.
Finally another left handed welder 😍
What are the advantages of having a box pan brake with a segmented lower blade as well as the upper blade being segmented??
Known as a European style pan brake. Allows you to do interrupted folds. If you remove say the left side lower segment from a bend, the apron raises and bends on the right side leaving the left side flat. It could also provide clearance to allow you to do reverse bends. Like bending a flange up next to a flange that is bent down. I find i it allows me to machine bend some parts that I would otherwise have to bend over the edge of the bench, or blocks of wood / odd bits of steel with a mallet or slapper if I only had the more common upper segments. Hope this helps.
What happened if you don’t put the vent hole
Well done ❤. I like people like you. I hope you do everything well as you want. Very good welding. Please tell me about setting that you welded. Thanks for video
👍
That was awesome 😎
I tried tig welding aluminium yesterday. I done a round end from what I've read, but ended up with a wondering arc which was terrible. Once I accidently hit the tip with filler, the end balled, and the electrode was beautiful. It was so easy to weld once that happened!
what type of tungsten were you using? from other welders ive heard that different types can hold a ball tip way better than others
use white tip or blue.
Hi, I’m new and learning about welding aluminum. I heard that pure tungsten green was best?
@@dawndowling9916 for older trannys sure. But new inverter types use Lanthanated or rare earth. Look them up for reference
How hot were you running? What amps
Great tutorial thanks
Hey man thanks for the pointers! What do you set your argon cfh too? I have mine at 10cfh and 80amps and I can’t tack my pipes
It depends on your cup size. Its basically double your cup size so if you're running a #5 10 cfh is good. But every regulator seems to be a little off some are high some are low. Its best to just turn them up until your weld is clean. And probably a lot more amps! Like 120 or more depending on how thick
Whats up bro quick question for you i just saw a old video of you building a back rack for truck. What the program you use on your pc ?
Ya it was fusion 360 but its so expensive i got rid of it. They want $680 a year now it used to be like $120 a year
YOU DON'T NEED TO TURN YOUR MACHINE DOWN TO MIG LIKE TIG YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN STACK DIMES WHILE YOUR MACHINE IS TURNED UP WELDING HOT
Definitely true you can stack dimes up nice and hot. This is specifically for the mig like tig they use in a bunch of offroad shops
@@5thStreetFab I mostly mentioned it because your cut and etch showed arguably that's not such a good idea. Get good penetration and stack dimes... just saying that
@@drumtwo4seven i totally agree
Man I don't know why some people complain but I really love these videos with this format! Informative and funny af too! 😆 Keep em coming brother! 👊
Haha I love them! I think ill do one every couple weeks and normal ones the other time
@@5thStreetFab sounds like a plan to keep everybody happy brother! 🤙
One or two of these videos, was ok, but not liking the new format, since you came back. I wish you'd go back to how you were doing videos, before.
Thanks! Im thinking about it!
Great video. Thanks
Great video, great editing and b role
Haha thanks peter. Half the fun is finding funny broll to throw in
OMG man this funny I have been burn BIG GAS bad vacuum when the filled gas when was teaching my self tig
It's the worst man!
Yes your right looks over holding power makes big difference
I had to do 600+ cuts today and had to use my chop saw on three trestle tables, wooden blocks and use a weighted plastic crate as a stop guide for repeatable cuts. I’ve been putting off making chop saw station because I wasn’t sure how to integrate the backstop. Your solution is perfect! I’ll be adapting this for my setup next week!! Thanks!
man that is some repetitive work! go for it bud!
Wow great job, hope it’s gets better with me one day 😊
Wow
my wire won’t come out of my wire
My new fav is a furick #5 standard glass cup with the diffuser. Durable, clear, low gas use, and welds great.
Nice i haven't tried them yet but they sound great!
Skip the dimes go for those half dollar ones
I'd say these 3 steps are exactly the progression to perfection for anyone trying to learn. You start with the first one and then you climb the ladder up with the next 2. The third step is the "hardest" but it's the most rewarding. I've been using that technique for years now and it's my absolute favorite 🤙 Great video man! 👊
Thanks dude!
I'm just some guy that doesn't do anything like this, but I have ideas and think aluminum would be good to build the stuff I'm thinking about. But everywhere I look, people say "it's really hard to weld aluminum" like it's damn near impossible. Thanks to your video, I now think it's accessible with some good practice. Maybe in a few years my ideas will become real.
Ya i like starting people on aluminum because its easier to see. You have a much bigger weld to work with. Its not any harder it's just different.
You too man
This some dope ass shit!!! Dope Craftsmanship
Thanks dude!
Dude that's clean, clean like a button up T on sunday!
Haha thanks im totally stealing this saying haha
Hi vivi the girl in it she is my cuasin go max go vivi go gunner go cahcandra
CARMANI! What are you doing commenting on videos!
Idk
I like this video
Lol
As a relatively new welder, I use the pause and move technique and I've had a bit of difficulty keeping my puddle overlaps consistently sized. I also suffer from too much heat into the piece. I'm going to try the continuous pass method ... thank you for the tip.
Anytime bud!
Fastest dabs around😂 Dimple dies are some of my favorite fab tools.
Same here! Im always lookin for any reason to use them!
@5thStreetFab me too. You just gave me another reason. That's a cool hanger. I'm going to make a couple rolled aluminum band clamps that mount something similar to a 330cf tank.
🐐!!!! Nice video. I like to move fast and hot stainless I do ok aluminum I don’t get as consistent with and the weld bead isn’t as shiny i try to change it up every once in a while and go slower. 🍻
Nice! I watched your pole repair video and intercooler video! Nice job dude
@@5thStreetFab ahhh the inter cooler one didn’t come out as good as I’d like. Thinner aluminum pipe isn’t my go to. Still a little new with the CZcams man it’s a lot of work editing videos haha having fun with it though. Thanks man
@@WojnarskiWeldingFabricaion looked good from where i was!
Thanks for the tips! I have a tip for you too. Do not use music with lyrics when talking in your videos :)
