      That's why I always make the younger guys in the shop watch me do something, while explaining why I'm doing it...then make them do it themselves.
      It's hit and miss at first, but the only way to learn is do it.

    Can you do a video on welding roll cage tubing either DOM or 4130. Really curious how to setup and rotate my wrist when welding.

    Might re-upload with lower level of music background and out some of the cutting demo before the theory so the Bigger Picture of there to frame the detail.

    What is easier to cut as a beginner. 9 degrees? So there is less cuts to weld? Also will either cut 4.5 7.5 or 9 degree yield the same center line radius of the inner pie is the same length? Thanks.

    there’s a tool for pie cutting exhaust pipes now. Vpgexhaustsystems. I bought a 2.5” templet and it works. Takes all the math out

    So if say you want a tight clr you just move your datum line to the desired clr and line it to the center of the tubing? Your made it easier to understand especially marking the second side of the center of tubing 👍

  • @rafatrill
    @rafatrill Před 3 lety

    I would cut the piece of paper and that would be my center line tool and also an easy way to verify center line all i have to do is rotate the material 180° for every cut

      LOL - if you see Rumble comments on CZcams videos, but not YT comments on Rumble, guess what's still more watched? Not impressed with Rumble so far, but Vimeo and Twitch are certainly worth a look. Could certainly get better over time, but just seems bitter now.

    Good tutorial. Just curious hear from an industry professional what amount of clocking you tolerate (that is how much you guys will rotate one pie relative to the other) to get a complex bend, one that bends in more than one plane? Do you just go to smaller and smaller pie angles to prevent too much miss-alignment at each weld? Is there a rule of thumb on how much you will rotate then for a given pie angle like 9 deg. to prevent it looking really get and flowing badly?

    • @5thStreetFab
      @5thStreetFab  Před 3 lety

      Not really we always did whatever i needed. Sometimes it would go 180° out if we needed. Its easier to clock as many in the same plane as you can before rotating another section that are also in the same plane. If that makes sense?

      @@5thStreetFab Yeah man I get 'ya. Thanks. I have just noticed when I do it that over about 1/4 turn the mismatch in diameters at points on the joint gets pretty big, almost a step, and it almost looks like things are not aligned, but there is no help for it I guess.

    Man I so wanted to watch this video but gave up because of the dratted music! Please, if you are going to do a tutorial don't put music over it. It is a distraction, not needed and spoils the video. Do want people to watch and learn or watch and listen to music whilst you draw on a board? Sorry for the grumpy message but this video is a mess in my opinion. I was the second to give a thumbs down regrettably. It's your video and your choice, but it is the viewers choice to watch or turn it off. I give my feedback in good manner and with no malice.
    Best regards from the UK.
