I think the logic is flawed when you say this is Man City's worst year. I actually think they were worse last year in the league compared to this year. That is shown by allowing Arsenal to gain an 8-point lead over them, something that has not happened this year. What this shows is something that we already knew: City's bench can walk into any team in the Premier League and improve them. This year, they relied on that bench, and it worked, because they spend so much money on this quality. They are far above everyone else. It's as simple as that.
