You are a great teacher. Please, keep going
I having trouble with car jump animations. I have been using Rig a Car addon with no luck. Please do a tutorial on it
Percise and humorsitic! Thank you so much!!!!
its not scientific tutorial please be precise how attach empty box to the car talkative , do nt talk too focus on ur point
hey Alex, could u do a video on how to rig a ball. The one in the animation tutorials
Hey! Yes adding that video to my list. Thanks for your note!
Tanks it helped me greatly when I was animating a jump from one building to another best tutorial compared to others
Happy to hear that! Thanks for your note!
NICE! great tutorial
Glad to hear that, thanks for your note!
yo alex do you have any tips on animating attacks for video games? (fire reel btw 🔥)
Thank you! I would come up with a cool combination. Think about the style your going for (realism, fantasy, cartoony) and really lean into it. If it's realistic, look at some reference. If it's more animated really exaggerate your action and make it entertaining. Whatever you do go with make the viewer excited to watch it. If you do that, then your action was a success. Hope that helped!
@@alexonstory ight thank you
honestly , you are one of the best channels i've ever seen. amaZing thanks for making this tut for us.. GOOD LUCK mate.
Thanks for your great note! I'll be back in a bit making new videos :)
Hi will. U ever make a video about character animation
Hey! Yes I do have some videos on character animation. czcams.com/video/cdj0YytsHSI/video.htmlsi=LHGGDvcrnuI_awr9 czcams.com/video/p8Bi7k60IS0/video.htmlsi=2H6jOM641tH-Zwuy I'll be making more video's in a bit. Hope that helps!
Wow your a really good animator to think you took part in Sonic Prime is so cool as an aspiring animator I'd love to see more tutorials from you specifically involving the cameras and multiple shots as i see most of the recent tuts you've made only focus on 1 shot rather than having multiple static shots or at least a moving shots much appreciated
Thank you, I appreciate your note! Great point! Yes I'll make some videos more about cameras and cinematography. I do have a timelapse of this car action shot and I talk a bit about setting up action and working with exploring camera positions and movement. czcams.com/video/cvEno-_dnBE/video.htmlsi=XT4wQMfATse05gJ_
Don't stop bro... Very underrated
Thank you, I appreciate your note! I'll be back to posting more soon.
Great one! Thank a lot for this video, it saved tons of hours of searching! BTW. Where can I get the environment texture? Logging for something exactly like this 😅
Happy to hear that! Thanks for the note! Overall the set and the background are just done with lighting. I'll make a video in a bit about the setup :)
@@alexonstory will be waiting! Thanks!
thx u for this video
Happy to share!
Hi Alex, May I ask where you are from? Because your last name is quite common in my country. :)
Hey! I was born in Romania, but have lived in Canada for a long time. Are you from Hungary?
@@alexonstory Yes, I'm following you from Hungary and I'm trying to learn the basics of the animation workflow from you. :) I want to make a series of short stories for adults on CZcams, that's how I found you. I would be happy to hear your comments, because I am completely self-taught to learn Blender. It would be a huge miracle if you could even speak Hungarian! :)
That's very cool! You got this, you can do it! I would say make your first very rough episode. Your going to learn a lot. On your second go you'll now have experience as to what worked and didn't work. Plus you'll be in a better position to make your visuals more clear and pleasing. I do speak Romanian, but no I can't speak Hungarian :D
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your incredible tutorial on layered animation in Blender. As a beginner, I found your explanations clear and easy to follow, which made a huge difference in my learning journey, I can't wait to learn more from your future videos. Thank you once again for sharing your knowledge🤝
Really nice to hear, thank you for your note! Take your time, baby steps. You'll see some nice improvements in your skill. Just keep at it!
Dear, I found a problem when I started animation , by applying Location & Rotation.. when I got back from object mode to pose mode , location and rotation mode not cancelled, I tried many time and I stuck here... Kindly suggest
cool
I like the Video even before it starts!
I Like that people like you exist... you are awesome!
Great work :)
Slightly off topic but how is he able to display the color materials of his model in Solid mode?
Great question! There are 2 ways to get color to show up in Solid mode. First is vertex color. Second is changing the viewport display of the object, which is what the Blender Studio Rigs have done. Both ways are separate from the textures you see in Shaded or Render mode. I didn't know about changing the viewport display color till you asked the question and I looked into it. I do like the second option. You need to assign a material to your object. In the Material Properties under Viewport Display you can change the color. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the tutorial. Its great! But when doing this, I face an issue while assigning child of to the respective larger controller. when assigning a sub to the larger rig, the sub rig goes too small and goes inside to the pivot point. But when I am making the influence 0 it stays in place but not moving along with other
The fact that this Rig has intuitive Toe Heel rig is insanely cool. It takes me time to appreciate it before moving on with the tutorial.
Yes, it's so nice to see these rigs with quality controls. Makes animating easier and more enjoyable :)
Is there onion skin in 3D? Where you can see previous and next pose when posing
There is yes, github.com/tingjoybits/Mesh_Onion_Skins Hope that helps!
This is gold, Alex! Thank you for doing this! Would love to see a rigging from scratch tutorial from you. Cheers!
Thank you Marko! Happy to hear that! Yes, will take a look at putting a rigging tutorial together. Since I am not a pro rigger it'll take me a bit longer to put that together.
Can you turn on the video subtitles? I can't speak English.
Thanks for asking and letting me know. It's on now!
keep up the good work.
Thanks :)
really informative, trying to use this workflow on characters,✌
Happy to hear that! For sure you can. Simple ideas layered together can produce some really cool things. You got this!
best teatcher
Thank you!
OMG, this is so hard. I taught myself Inkscape so I will teach myself this but man it's hurting my brain. You are very good and very patient. I need to create one short animation. I'll let you know how it comes out. Might take a month. I can't seem to control anything. Thank you, I'll be back.
Happy the video is helpful! hehe yes animation is a challenge, but start slow and you'll get it. I did make an intro to Blender Animation that might help you out. czcams.com/video/sM4_rbrQMpo/video.html
Thank you so much .
It's my pleasure, thanks for your note!
thank you Alex for this well of knowledge.
It's my pleasure, thanks for your note!
Oh, this reminds me of the old Maya tutorial by Jason Busby (may he rest in peace) with the talented ball. But way more advanced. With blender finally having a good UI, I might actually give this a try. You are well-spoken without all that usual over the top CZcamsr shenanigans, really refreshing.
Thank you! I appreciate that!! Give it a try I do prefer it to Maya, and I use Maya daily.
thank you brother
It's my pleasure, thanks for your note!

Another great video
Really happy to hear that, thank you! I'm working on some more in-depth tutorials now. Will be back to posting in a bit:)
i don't have that cloud rig option in my blender. how did I get it?
Hey! Not all Blender rigs have the Cloud Rig side option, some have Rigify. If your using some of the newer Blender Studio rigs then yes they should have it. Try dragging the character file into a fresh scene. That loads things properly. Hope that helps!
@@alexonstory thanks for reply this. i got it in object data property bone collections from there i can hide and unhide ik or fk bones. for ik fk switch i am using copy transformation in bone constraint properties
That's good! Happy to hear that, hope you have all the control over the rig your looking for.
When we animate in maya, we create a fully body selection set for kee poses. Sir tell me how can I do this in blender?
Great point! Yes in Blender there are things we can do like that. 1. In my viewport when in pose mode I make broad updates to my rig. What parts of the rig are off and on. Then "A" to select all and "I" to key everything. This is the thing I do most often. If you want more control of your selection set you can also make your own using Bone Collections. 2. In pose mode under Data Properties, Bone Collections you can add your own selection. You can make multiple selections and add/remove any bone in your collection. Name it and even add that selection as a quick favorite or keyboard shortcut. Hope that helps!
@@alexonstorythank you so much sir. You are just great. If you give me one hour personal class in blender it will be more helpful sir. Sir please don’t mind, I’ll give you the one class tuition fees. Please sir 👏🏻

Thanks
@@alexonstory i love your way of teaching and the devotion, please do the Unreal tutorial. i'm an unreal beginner as well
Thanks, happy to hear that! Yes I'll be learning Unreal in a bit and will share what I know :)
Amazing tutorials!! 🖤 why do you refer to the char as a sprite character though?
Thank you! That's what that type of character is called in the short movie. I just added a link to the character in the video description. Blender now allows anyone to download it.
This is incredible!! I was watching your animation basics in blender videos and I could tell from how you spoke and broke down you're process that you have animated before, BUT I had NO IDEA that you worked on some scenes in the Spider-Man 2 game! Those scenes were some of my favorites in the game! It's amazing to finally know who animated them because I was inspired by them when I watched them for the first time. I've always wanted to animate at that level! Thanks for posting your reel. I look forward to seeing more of your educational content!!
Thank you for such a wonderful comment! I think you and so many others can animate at a high level. It takes a bit of time and some good amount of practice. These bigger projects really do need some many people. So it's nice to contribute in the way that I do. I'll be back to making more videos in a bit :)
i dont expect u really jump to blender😂
