Hi! This is my first time buying a camera + lenses and im really struggling with the decision. I’m mostly a fashion and beauty photographer, and I want to specialize in studio photography but also in portraits outside. Would you say this is a good lens for me? It is a shame that the RF 70-200mm f2.8 lens is NOT compatible with a 1.4 teleconverter. It is NOT an internal zoom lens as the lens barrel extends when zooming. I used the EF 70-200mm f2.8 for at least 17 years & never had an issue with it.

Love your reviewing style, but could you leave the music off in the background as I have a hearing issue which make it near impossible to hear over background sound, and the music is also too distracting. I kept rewinding to try and catch what was said, so took a long time to get through and due to all the rewinding, interrupted too much to take in all the information.

It's like the vinyl versus digital debate. Digital presents us with accuracy so going with older analogue solutions is in effect saying you spurn accuracy and want something different. This can be great but let's not pretend that these older mediums are as accurate. With digital there is also the endless possibility to edit as you see fit. Many are trying create film colours and effects because they love them but it does not occur to some that they are effectively existing in a world of nostalgia-driven, feel-good cosiness that isn't accurate. Is it just escapism from the immediacy of the often harsh world we live in?

I guess it would be possible to just go into APS-C mode on your full frame to try out a bit how a 85mm would feel when taking a 50mm to a shoot?

The key difference that you can adopt EF lens to any camera brand, and RF (and any other "modern" mirrorless lenses) you can use just to specific mounts, no adapters. Such a dumb from manufacturers....

Can you send clients there photos on there

I could never go for such lenses, which do everything but nothing really well, just versatility. I like 1.2...1.4 for bokeh, for extra light, for sharpness, etc. The 70mm f2 is almost decent but it doesn't even compare to the 85mm 1.8. Plus zoom lenses are much more damaged, especially those without internal zoom. It collects dust, and all those moving elements inside break down much faster

It is absolutely (hmm sounds like a Scritti Politti song..) a Beast of a lens. I use it for events and family portraits and I take it with me on vacations - haha! The weight of this lens is really not an issue for me in regards to the quality of the photos. I love this lens.. Just Love, love, love it and isn't "love is all you need"?? Thanks for another great video!!

People who do not have problem with the budget and only do photography for thier enjoyment possibly buy this lens though . Just to get the best of their enjoyment. Thanks

Get your point about will people notice other than yourself. I’m awaiting delivery of Leica SL3 and wondering if I’d be better going GFX100ii route. Or indeed if the GFX will give me anything better than the 60mp SL3
