Hello Everybody and welcome to my repair canal, I like doing repair of almost everything that can be disassembled and of course assembled again. It gives me a good feeling when i have done a complicated repair, it's just like a really good puzzel. It can be a camera or lenses, or anything else, because it cost a lot of money to send it to a repair tech somewhere in the world.
SO why not do it yourself.., save money and learning new things at the same time, instead of hearing a repair tech said "It will cost too much to repair, you can buy a new one for your hard worked money, and just throw the old away..".
Well.., what can you loose when it's already broken.., in my opinion.., Nothing, so give it a try...
I often go to fleemarket and buy some stuff that's already not working, and in that way take things apart without risk.
NOTE: Some of my movies are without sound / talk, BUT the latest film's are in HD and I tell you how I work with the stuff.
Greeting from Kenneth

Thanks for the detailed video! Followed your instructions to remove the mainboard so I could repair/reflow a damaged USB connector. Success, thanks to this guide! Great job!
hey mikeno62 , will you please upload a Elmarit-M 90 2.8 lens disassembly video to guide me fix the focus ring no smooth problem? thanks bro.
I have a canon P myself. Just got it a few days ago. I am really excited because its such a pretty camera. I tested it with a shutter curtain and sadly it's a bit slow overall. Especially in the higher speeds. Now I really hope i can get them up within the canon tolerances but I am still fairly new to fixing cameras so I still need to learn a lot. Anyway, I was looking for information about the repair and as you are saying the repair manual is basically just exploded views and part lists. after searching and searching I stumbled upon the manual of the canon IV-S2. It's a rangefinder that's a bit older than the canon p. This manual has a lot more information and guides. In case you ever need more info.
Hi Mikeno ! I love your natural style, not always sure of what you are about to do but yet..quite competent ! I also work on cameras and watches as I love precision. Thanks for your videos.
thanks so much!
The marked screw on the 5:18 happens to have a dent over it. So no need to mark with a pen I think :)
Thank you for making these videos, I really appreciate the effort you have put in (for probably little return). I have inherited an old 35RD from my father who passed away, so I will be using your guides to ensure that it's nice and clean and functional. It has been sitting in a drawer for decades, so who knows what condition it will be in!

Thank you for your video. I'd like to ask: how are the aperture blades interleaved?
Can you make an updated disassembly video for this lens?

hi mike, are you based in europe?
Any idea as to what would cause the “clutch” of the focus mechanism to get jammed up? My focus motor is ok. Even when I have removed the focus motor and rotate the focus ring, it gets jammed.
Copied your video. Now the lens works perfectly. Many thanks.
Thanks
The act of setting aparture at "22" is a life saving point. Thanks.
Size dimensions are good to determine if a spring fits but the spring force will determine if if functions properly. spring materials change so much you be lucky to find or make a spring for the function you want.
Dear Kenneth, thank you for this video, it was really fantastic and well prepared. I only wish I had seen this a few months ago before I did the adjustment! Thank you!
Thank you for posting this detailed disassembly video of the Lumix DMC. The zoom control ring and internal trigger switch is especially helpful.

Hi nice video. I have same g9 and some screws are loosen. Mine wont power on. What should I do? Should i replace the dc dc board?.
Thank you so much for posting this, saved me from making some mistakes on my cine-mod process! Appreicate it very much!
Followed the instructions and struggled a bit since previous owner stripped the wheel and added a glue/wax. I was successful using a small wrench similar to the ones that come in ikea furniture. Same process just different tool! Thanks so much for making this video 🫡. Be sure to wipe all of the glass!
Great videos Mike. I have a Nikomat FT-n, I've replaced the seals on the eye piece, mirror cushion, and those around the metal frame that holds the focusing screen & condenser lenses. All that went well, but I can not find a way to reinsert the shutter speed acetate strip into the slot on the metal frame (that contains the focusing screen & condenser). I know that acetate strip rides in the groove on the focusing screen, but first i need to get the metal frame into position. Any insight into this? thanks..

hi......I got a Nikon Copal large format lens....It works fine in all speeds except in 1/4, 1/2, and 1 second where it gets stuck for a while........Bulb is fine.......Do you have an advice in how solve this? thnks in advance for any help
Hello, where can I find the front lens? Can you give me the technical information, thank you.
why lighter fluid lol?
Thanks for this. I saved myself the neon bulb by just using a multimeter set to DC and using a resistor 3.3 KOhm connected in parallel to the multimeter prongs with croc clips. Without the resistor the charge was near 300 Volts. My resistor looked like a 1 or 2W model, but there was still a whiff of smoke during the discharge, quite a bit of energy in that capacitor! Used on a Canon EX600, the voltage is right on the small inductor covered with tape and the one thick wire soldered right next to it on the PCB in the head. (you only need to open the flash-tube part of the flash to replace it, not the bottom part containing the batteries.
Interesting camera, Instax being a polaroid style film .but Its a digital camera using that film more like zink paper. I'm not quite at the end of the video yet , I hope you take and print a photo with it
Thank you so much.
Great video, super helpful, but I can’t get my lens to screw back in. It’s starts and goes about a quarter turn then gets stuck, I’ve cleaned it really well but still no luck. Any advise?
You can check infinity focus to verify your setting and assembly are correct.
Thank you
Hej, Fin video😊👍. Har du tilfældigvis et sort Nikon f hus til salg magen til det reparere? Hilsen Peter
Thank you so much for your video. It has motivated me to repair my newly purchased F-1 and everything is now working perfectly. My tip for those of you who also have the same problem: You just have to manage to remove the housing. All you have to do afterwards is oil the gears. These are easy to reach with a needle. That's what I did and now everything works as it should.
Thanks! Do you mean remove the top plate and then you can squeeze a needle and oil in there? Without having to remove all the parts? SO from about 24:00 in disassembly you can oil the gears?
@@flowermaze___ Yes, exactly that. You have just to remove the top plate - then you can reach the gears with a needle and don't have to remove all parts. But be carefully with the little ball of the Lock (A/L) and make notice in which position do you left the shutter speed.
My on and off button switch broke off. Help and suggestions? Thanks
Thanks for posting this video, it really saved me for a lot of $$$... well done. I also like your dentist tool.... to me it is a musthave>;o)
Hydrogen peroxide 3% solution will just eat fugus that no other solution wii remove. If it doesn't work then the fungus has damaged the lens.
I tried to replace the aperture gear and managed to dismantle the lens with the help of this video. Unfortunately, the gear I bought was 0.1 mm smaller than the original and didn't work
Rlly helpful, I was able to fix my EES2! Thanks
This 100% worked for me. Didn't think it would work but gave it a shot. Everything looked spotless but cleaned anyway; after I put it back together the autofocus was so quick and accurate even at 85mm (wouldn't focus past 24mm prior). So glad!
Hello, thank you for the very informative video! I have a question: I bought hydrogen peroxide 3% in my local pharmacy and just noticed on the label that other than purified water, it contains phosphoric acid (10%) as a stabilizer. I did some research and found out that other H2O2 solutions don't contain that acid. Would you be able to check whether your specific product does or doesn't contain this additive, please? I am worried that it may damage the coating on the lens. Thank you!
Thanks. These devices are why I hate modern electronics: difficult to repair, and therefore difficult to recycle.
