Zoom problem In Nikon Speedlight SB 700 BIG repair success :-)

My Nikon Speedlight SB 700 has been dropped and that's why it had a problem with Zoom problem.
The motor axle plastic bearing was coming out of place so the zoom was stuck.

IT'S ON YOUR OWN RISK! So take really
good care when you work with electronic flash.
When working with Speedlights
there is a HIGH RISK of getting an
electric shock at around 350-400
volt. REMEMBER to discharge
the capacitor! BEFORE disassemble the flash head!

Hello! You can discharge the capacitor in other ways. To the same resistor as you used, you can connect an incandescent lamp in series, of the old type, if there is no such resistor, you can connect two incandescent lamps in series, and by their dimming, you will see how the capacitor discharges. There are a lot of options here, any household heating devices: an iron, an electric stove, a heating radiator, a soldering iron, even an electric tool with a series-connected lamp will be able to discharge the capacitor.

Excellent video Mike, I have that flash and it is an excellent tool, I have an F4 that failed with the shutter button, the shutter sticks and does not stop, I will send it to you and can you record a video?
