They Scythians were a Norse community that merged with an Eastern Asian bloodline, we think Jomon / Japanese. So that's maybe where your Finnish came from. A Scythian (from North of the Black Sea). The Mongolians came and pushed through their territory during the 1000-1200s, so maybe they carried a woman back with them. Maybe she escaped and went to Japan? To her ancestral Jomon tribal distant cousins? No wait the Mongols invaded Japan too. Maybe whoever carried this Finnish women came there. Kieyvan Rus' were invaded in 1240. Japan in 1271. Its possible.

Ainu have a common ancestry with the Aborigines of Australia. Inuit likely traces back to the ancient Central Asian people of which East Asians and current Central Asians and Native Americans are descended from long ago. I have no idea what's going on with the Finnish genetic markers, unless such markers are all over the northern hemisphere of the world.

  • @anamokena-nicol4247

Sound like the similar mix of Japanese as my ancestry. Think the changes between the ABO blood types in most Asian people, but, especially in East-Asian, cause some differences in appearance because of the way the body reacts to the proteins in food and other micro-organisms in the environment! In the north it is frozen, so there is little chance to activate the antigen via bacteria, so, the face shape doesnt change too much. Different life stages also give a different appearance-the face will be more sculpted and smaller as you get to each age stage also staying that way for longer, effectively making you look very 'young' to a westerner with the same number of years, this additionally can be confusing to them. The Northern most Islands and some of the Mainland near Korea and Manchuria areas were joined in some trade a few thousand years past. Because Japanese Islands were seperated into different family villages in the past, it is still possible for the closest mainland- where they could have also met in the ocean on fishing journeys - to have remenants of the mainland genetics. In the North, Inuit is a broad discription for anyone from the north pole who lived with a certain type of culture-this is a part of the peopleing of Japan, also Alaska and Siberia. So if you flip the globe on it's end you will see where many parts of native Japanese genetics came from and went to. Others in the South, obviously could also travel south with the currents and copying the flow of large sealife. Those genetics still carry markers though, and are difficult to mix up with modern immigrants.

Hi, your husband has that face of Italian and Iberian. That nose is not Irish , he has hawk like features, if his skin had that permanent suntan, put him in ancient Iberian clothing he would pass, if you put him in ancient Roman clothing …. Amazing how genetics can reveal our ancestor’s journey’s across land and sea, intermingling with different genotypes and those traits will come to light in a future descendant. Most people do not realize that Japanese and Korean are the same genotype, yet developed different clothing, language and customs. Yet, share very similar ridged class system and a male offspring is a must, women are treated as pawns in family politics and considered only as wives, mistresses or whores and not of any individual importance. The racial purity stance of not accepting children who were mixed as we saw in the Korean War, mixed children were not accepted by families, left to die or left in American military camps. Chinese, Japanese and Koreans historically did not adopt a child unless for a male to carry the family line. If a child was taken in it was a a lifelong servant. Still true today, there are orphanages full of children needing homes in these countries, but will never experience a loving home unless other people from outside adopt them. Sometimes, the customs are so harsh that it brings such pain to people and should be changed.

I agree that people confuse ancestry with nationality. Irish American people who travel to Ireland are thought of as Americans by the Irish. Frankly, we all live on a round world, and we all got off the ark with Mr and Mrs Noah. Ever since then, we have dispersed and recombined again and again. Essentially, we all come from melting-pot peoples of the past.

A friend of mine did one of those ancestry things on herself and her dad. She wanted her mom's DNA too, but her mom refused, and indeed seemed to be alarmed that she was doing it for herself and her dad. She learned why her mom was alarmed when she got the results. She called her mom and said they needed to talk, and talk outside the hearing ranger of her father. When she asked why she was not related to her dad, her mother started to cry. What she learned was horrifying. Her mom had been raped but had never said anything about it to anyone because she was so ashamed. There is a song with a line, "I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." That's exactly how my friend felt. She told no one about this until both of her parents had passed away.

I had a friend growing up who loved boasting that he was "Pure Korean." Once, a bit sick of his boasting, and considering that Korea is a smallish peninsula attached to China, I told him that he probably had some Chinese in him. Boy, he didn't like that one bit. But you want to know a secret. I'm still pretty sure he was partly Chinese, even if that ancestry came from the times before Asians still lived as hinter/gatherers and di not have distinctions such as "China" and "Korea." Crossing a river doesn't change your ethnicity, even if you, or your dependence never cross that river again. If your ancestors came from a place that would one day be called China, and they crossed a river into land that would one day be called Korea, would that mean you are Korean or are you still Chinese. And lets not forget the people who crossed a sea and settle on an island that would someday be called "Japan" or "Nippon". Ethnicity is meaningless.
