By the way, I've heard bad reports of IndoChina - I've no idea how fair they were. But I've used ITailor, which runs on a very similar model - they're good, for modest prices. Vinted troubles me - I'm not very keen on wearing somebody else's trousers! But by the look of it, I should overcome my qualms.

M-A-N-Y years ago I started my career at a Fortune 50 company. As you point out, money was dear and I skimped on shoes figuring no one would care or notice. I was 100% wrong. I was teased daily about shoes and belts. A very embarrassing situation I was helped out of by my bosses boss. He arranged a meeting with his tailor who guided me to a $500 pair of wingtips. I gulped as my salary was $24,000! Danny the tailor helped me with a payment schedule 👍. My first vice president level presentation I wore my $500 shoes. The VP walked in, we all stood, he noticed and said "Nice shoes". I felt like a zillion bucks, nailed the presentation and ended up spending $10,000/year with Danny the tailor as my income allowed. Best help I received was don't skimp on shoes, belts, watched and fabrics. They will last your entire career, should you learn to care for them. Excellent advice.

You are confusing a fashion trend (baggy pants) with how traditional full cut trousers are supposed to look. For the last couple of decades pants and trousers have become increasingly slim. Fashion is often about extremities which is why designers will make slimmer and slimmer models. The antithesis of slim pants are overly baggy pants. Especially GenZ wears these comically large 4XL pants in order to create a look that has a ton of contrast with the slimmer models, creating a new extremity. Italian trousers are fairly slim. In todays fashion they are becoming increasingly slimmer but even a traditional Italian trouser will look different from an English one. Traditional English trousers are supposed to go to 2/3ds of the shoe! Since Italian suits are fashion you might assume that the Italian trouser is the standard, and that fuller cut trousers are fashion, but this is not the case. Just look at what the actual old money wears in the UK. If you look up pictures from private boarding schools in the UK the male uniform often have full cut pants, sometime even fuller cut than the examples you provide to be fashion.

I own a purple sweater and a purple polo golf shirt

Machine spin probably too much on the shirt and maybe used tumble dryer? Mine has medium spin wash and hung upon exit. They are mostly crease free and dry on the hangers. I was told by a couple 9f tailors to never use the tumble dryer, so I don't.

I think, your suggestion are not for all countries, e. g. In Italy the rules for trousers are different.

V neck jumper, plaid shirt, silk tie, knitted tie. It's one of my favourite colours for autumn.

A dark purple suit (commissioned a made-to-measure), a shirt with lavender stripes, two shirts with deep purple stripes, one plain, deep purple mercerized cotton shirt, two ties (striped and plain), a white pocket square with purple borders that I made (pretty easy to do), a ring, a lapel pin, a pair of cufflinks, a scarf I bought from the ladies section at a department store, and one pair of regular underwear is what I currently have. I should probably go on the hunt for a pair of purple socks and shoes to complete my collection some day. 😂 Various purple colours are definitely not hard to combine and wear. I regard it as similar to using various shades of blue.

I think if you get cargo shorts tailored and they fit you properly they could look really well. I don't understand why people hate on cargo shorts.
