I may be late to this video but it was of tremendous help to put my elderly parents and new to a wheelchair Dad at ease with flying again. Thank you and hoping you are continuing to live your life to the fullest!

How do you go about getting your medicine through customs ? the meds I'm on ( ie my pain killer's ) contains opiates I don't know how to go about getting them through customs as they are clast as drugs.

I shattered one of my vertebrae in the bottom of my spine the vertebra has healed but it has seriously damaged L4 L5 disks that is pushing on my spinal colum so my legs dont work I also have problems with my bladder and I to have to wear pullup's too. I haven't been able to walk for about 2 years now. It dose get me down quite a lot, I have tried to find a disability club to join but the only one I found where I live cost over £100 to join there's no way I can afford that much money. I feel I have been abandoned I dont get any help at all even my wheelchair is a 30 year old one I got from a charity shop for £20 as I can't afford to buy a new one I do also have a power chair that I payed £56 from ebay I got it cheep as it is over 12 years old I had to repair it and get new batteries for it, it still has problems but it works, well for now I dont know what i'll do if it stops working. But anyway thanks for your tips on getting around obstacles you shown in your video.

Please never pour fat into a sink drain. You can really plug up your system very fast doing that. One trick that I have seen to be able to get it is put a layer of tin foil in squish it into the hole for draining and when you pour it make sure to put the colander over top of that area so that the fat will pull into the dent you made in the drain in your tin foil so once it cools down it can be immediately picked up and thrown in the garbage or used multiple rounds to do its job by carefully popping out the fat and tossing it away

Wow, I'm glad to hear that you got relatively early diagnosed! I mean I had a journey of art least 30 years .... I was in pain and had a lot of different physical problems and physical abuse by doctors ... since my early youth ... Now 50 years old and diagnosed June 2020, also with hEDS.

I hope you never delete this video!! Just so I can show people what it's like walking around using a crutch. This explains everything! I'm going through right now. Short story.. walking, then had a broken leg followed by multiple fractures, and finally I diagnosed with a tethered spinal cord that would be too dangerous to fix. Staying on the positive here.. after using one crutch for the past 3 years and having to stop every 5 minutes to rest, I finally!! Gave in and went for a night out in a wheelchair and honestly, I have never felt more free in my life just to dance away without having to sit down or be in pain the next day! 🤠

I have 37 years experience in a wheelchair, and its wrong to say that you lose power in your push, if you have your thumb on the tire. I've used this technique for years, and it all comes down to hand size and preference. For a guy like me with big hands, its almost impossible to only use the rim cus it ends up hurting my wrist more. Most people will not have that problem tho!

I’m sorry, but he’s a little bit mean like the people who help with the wheelchairs aren’t only there for old and fat people that’s kind of offensive and too. I don’t know his backstory but why are you in a wheelchair if you can walk and stand?

I use a wheelchair because my prosthetic does not always fit. The stump swelling is not always predictable. It is really tough to communicate to able bodied people why I need my chair. Apparently they mostly think that I just just need to apply myself. I apreciate your video s

EDS not beung eligible is so unfair. I'm a cyclist with EDS and as I'm not eligible for paracycling I compete with able bodied athletes. Every race i get lapped or finish the race minutes behind everyone else because I'm symply weaker because of my EDS. One symptom of hEDS is weakness in the quads and hamstrings so I really don't get why zebras are not eligible.

Yeah that phone call is a lawsuit right there. I hope he's only absent from CZcams because his lawyer said he has to remain silent about it until it's settled.

Hey, I know you're not making these videos anymore, and I get it. I'm sure it was exhausting. But I just wanted to tell you how much they helped me when I first got my wheelchair. I went from "fuuuuuuuuuuck" to "fuck it, I can do this!" and I have! I still travel (only by car, so far) and go camping, explore the accessible areas of national parks and museums. And you really helped give me the can do attitude. I hope you're doing well, and again, thank you! 🥰

I'm a completely able-bodied person and got curious about this. This is a really well explained video. I learned a whole lot about wheelchairs and and people with leg disabilities that I didn't know beforehand which is valuable! More videos like these likely help so much other people with disabilities learn new ways to manage them. I hope I can learn more from CZcams to help understand the lives of disabled friends and family members. Thanks so much for teaching others! This was an absolute blast to watch! :D

The government needs to place laws to restrict lying from medicare insurance, and doctors, and specialists and to make them do their jobs even from disabled people.

So is the catheter supply company.

The urologist is lying to you.

The hospital and Medicare system are such smart aleics and fishy.

So sorry that paralysis does all of this to disabled people. Too much ignorance out there.

So dope man . I'm on my forth chair and just got new one last November and I think it's off the thing is once your insurance approves it they built it I thought it was going to be better than my old chair but it might be worse . Iam going to contact my mobility company and see if the could come out and help me make some adjustments. Because Iam stuck with it for 5 years and a lot could happen in that time. I've been in a chair for 20 year's and my butt and my legs hurt so bad. I've used the low profile isch dish cushion for all that time and just switch over to the rojo air cushion I don't know if iam inflating it corrected but my old cush felt better... does any body that been a chair for that long recommended any tips or advise on cushions or angle on the chair? My lower body and legs are hurting so bad it is unbearable.. I got the new tilight aero t.. thanks 🙏

Yo what up iam a t- parah I did all the things you doing . Try to do it after 20 years of being in a chair your legs burn putting your leg over your wheels like that... I guess it all depends on your ingurry .. some humans are evil and yea they look at you like if you were shit.. but there are good people out too and they are the one that lift up your spirits and make u want to live... God bless all they people that are in wheels chairs and everyone that is hurt... Because it is such a mission .. specially the bathroom situation and stairs suck.........

I know this is 2 years old, but as someone who used to work in medical records, medical transcription, & as a medical secretary I used to have to deal with these very things. It angers me to hear that secretary continuously lie to you much less hang up on you over and over again. Is sounds to me like someone being lazy and doesn't want to do their job at all much less correctly. I am so sorry you had to deal with that and I hope you don't still have to.

most of these complaints are ridiculous. especially the ones dealing with safety. yes it's slow and for good reason. you ever hear of anybody who died after getting hit by one of these? i haven't yet. are the backing beeps embarrassing? yes. but i'd rather be a bit embarrassed then hit someone by accident. and truck drivers are human too. what a dumb analogy. and the orange flag? i'd rather be treated like a child than be run over because somebody couldn't see me.

This video speaks to me on every level. In addition to paralysis, I have narcolepsy and it's a full time job keeping up with appointments and calling drs, pharmacies, and insurance. The frustration and exhaustion is so real and never ending. I hope one day things change and the unnecessary stress is removed from our lives. I feel like there's all this pressure to be hyperfunctional and "inspirational" but I wish there was more space to accept that some circumstances in life just suck. Sending hugs all around

Man! Thank you sooo much, I might be traveling abroad by myself (and my wheelchair), and I needed these hints.

I been in a wheelchair for 50 years. Paraplegic T12/L1. I use to be able to get sideways to things and the bath tub transfer for the to of the chair to a cushion on the bottom of the tub. Then leave the water in the tub and lift myself back in chair with one motion. You are young like me and I could do all that stuff. As you get older you will hurt your shoulder and such that when you loose muscle mass and break bones. You need to cath in your wheelchair and do you bowl programs in bed . Once you break a leg or get a pressure sore you will learn easyer ways. Been there done that. I even drag race for 20 years after I got hurt. I wore down and my shoulders paid the price. Try and get a eletric wheelchair ASAP. They are replacable your shoulder are not.

What is the name of your chair

Ha - first time out trialling a wheelchair in the mall and I had someone come up to me and ask what was wrong with me (MS), and then, could they pray for me. I so wish I had answered "nothing's wrong with me, what's wrong with you asking this of a stranger" but I was just gobsmacked by the weirdness of it all (needless to say I politely declined the prayer session)
