all ways good content
Thank you for your kind comments 😊
What was the large green patches in your winter barley?
I think I know what you mean, they will be extra fertile parts that haven’t started to ripen as fast.
Okay, thanks for the reply.
What a change in the last few months. It has gone from waterlogged fields and full to overflowing ditches to now being green healthy crops and dry land again. Things are looking good all round in the crops and countryside in your part of the world.
Yes what a difference a few weeks/months make, hopefully a half decent harvest 🤞🏻
Did I see you spraying the headlands on some barley ? I was passing by on my way from Winterton ... I even put my flashers on my lorry 😂😂.... Thursday morning just before 11
Yes it was me , I did see this mad lorry with his lights flashing 😂😂😂
@@JDautopower after burners on pushing a bin lorry 🤣🤣…. So working on that it’s where John Hirst used 2B farm manager years ago? Possibly about 20/25 years ago? ….
Great video again , crops look decent to a non farmer!. We used to stop at humber Bridge en route to Filey with the car and caravan years ago. How long would it take to reinflate the tractor tyres? Cheers 🍻
Thanks. 4-5 mins to inflate a bit quicker to deflate, you can do it on the move, so you do it when entering a field in advance same when leaving the field, start inflating on your last run.
Always enjoy the varied content
Thank you. I keep trying! 😊
Brilliant video again, nice to have the good weather but not looking so good next week again, have a good weekend
Thank you. Nice weather was good, just what we wanted, makes you feel good.
Top job. 👌
@@gunton21thanks 😊
Great video and nice views of the Humber Bridge. Always lots going happening on your farm which makes for interesting content whereas watching someone hand hoeing sugar beet for a week (which is what’s been happening here) would be as monotonous as the job itself! 😂
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it, it’s been a few years since I last hoed beet.
Service plans must be way forward gives you a costing for combines & tractors so no nasty repair bills
Definitely the way forward, No unexpected costs!
Excellent Content 👍
Thank you 🙌
Good video 👍
Thanks😊
Those lifting attachments for telehandler’s are very useful enable you to store kit on a pallet racking system. Got two rows of pallet racking together across back of shed lift kit up an down with similar attachment On forklift truck
They are good bits of kit, I like the idea how you store some of you kit on racking.
As ever interesting video and update.
Thank you 😊
Great video as always 👍 never mind wildbird mix, put carrots in that ground 😂😂
Thanks 😊
Great video lots going on! Best hands on channel no waffle! 🤣🤣amazing technology in the cab nowadays but different to my dad's old grey fergie!!
Thanks much appreciated! Technology nowadays is amazing, it’s certainly come on in the last 20years or so.
Plenty happening. Best of luck and thanks for posting.
Thank you.
Good video 👍
Thanks 😊
Good video ,,,lots to see at cereals ,,not a lot of people from Yorkshire and north Lincolnshire could be bothered to go. Down ..
Thanks. Yes it was along way to travel, but like you said lots to see. At least next year it’s back in Lincolnshire.
Thanks. Yes it was along way to travel, but like you said lots to see. At least next year it’s back in Lincolnshire.
The robots are amazing, but waste o time, would it know if there’s a wet spot to go round? 😂
Robots in the controlled factory are good but real world unpredictable conditions need human interaction for sure. Maybe AI might help farmers predict and control weeds, insect & disease infestation. Machines look cool but prices ££££ nice trailed sprayer 👍🏻
Agree what you say about the robots in controlled situations. Time may prove is wrong. Looking forward to getting the sprayer.
@@JDautopower I think drone spraying & battery robot weeding will be great. Better than heavy machinery with fuel costs. Like to see a drone with ways to clip off weed seed heads to burn them off. Looking forward to the new sprayer 👌🏼
30 mm rain with me last 7 days when is it going to dry up. Big kit on display at cereals got to cover a lot of ground to pay for them
Yes this rain and cold wind is relentless! I to hope it soon warms up! certanly a lot of moneys worth of kit at cereals!
Always enjoy your videos. I do wonder where all the birds are going to come from to eat all these 1000’s of acres of bird feed we are being encouraged to plant. At least it might keep the pigeons off the sugarbeet!
Thank you, glad you enjoy the videos, we are putting country side stewardships scheme strips in this coming week lol.
Interesting update once again, new sprayer looks good, 😊
Thanks, looking forward to getting the new sprayer.
Interesting variety. Best of luck.
Thanks😊
Well it's good to now see just about all agricultural waste packaging materials getting recycled and not ending up on a huge bonfire being burnt to dispose of them. The silage stretch film was always the dirtiest job to do at the end of the winter as it was wet with rain water, heavy and smelly stuff to gather up and sort through. The cardboard boxes and the cores from the net and stretch wrap were always easy to gather up and dump off at the local council recycling centre as the season went on.
Great choice of sprayer we’ve had a LT 6 for 7 months , it’s a fantastic piece of kit 👍
Thanks, looking forward to getting it.
You won’t be disappointed with the horsch. 👌
Good video as usual, what made you move away from Dammann sprayer they are good sprayers?
Thanks. We are moving upto 36m tramlines, and thought the booms on the horsch were better. Your right the Dammann is an excellent sprayer, up with the top sprayers.
@@JDautopowerwe just changed our self propelled Dammann was on my wish list but the management went in a different direction maybe next time I hope. Keep up the good videos look forward to Saturday mornings to see what you are up to up there we farm in the south east near Margate kent
Dammann sprayers are up there with the likes of Horsch, Agrifax etc. good sprayers.
Good video 👍
Thanks 😊
Must of been a few bird nest and other wildlife in all that scrub
Men of many talents. Thanks for the interesting post.
Glad you enjoyed it
You can't beat the job satisfaction of the digger work, my favourite.
The spoil you dig out of the ditch , could you use it to fill in a hole elsewhere or is there a regulation to say that it must stay by the ditch where it came from?
There are no regulations that say you can’t move dyke spoil away from the original site. It suited us to leave it there. The grass will grow through it.
good update
Thanks.
Great update, thanks
Your welcome, glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Great update. Using the seedeye system or just standard iPad rate control?
Thanks, it’s been ordered with the seed eye on it.
@@JDautopower great system, especially for variable rate
Just curious to know why you opted for the standard system disc and not the aggressive ones?
Do you mean 3 rows instead of 2? If you did, when you have 3 rows of coulters, you loose the levelling paddles, and we like the option of carrying some soil on them in certain conditions. Hope this answers your question.
@@JDautopower no the discs at the front of leveling board you can get what you’ve got the the system disc aggressive
Nice work with digger clearing out the dyke and sorting out the brambles New drill be nice if you got video of them putting it together maybe P & B have a guy who could video it for you
Another excellent video to watch this morning.. You're finding loads of jobs to keep your squad busy, and the countryside looking good. Clearance of the brambles away must be a satisfying job when you compare the before and after scene there.
Thank you, always plenty of jobs to keep us busy on the farm/estate.
@JDautopower As my late father used to say " if you can't find anything to do, you're not looking hard enough "
Good video 👍
Thanks.
Black grass a nightmare, it even grows horizontally as well as the vertical ones that stick up above the crop. Horrible to rogue it out. Best of luck. Nozzles look good , fair forward speed and no drift. Seen standard flat fan behind some machines looking like fog blowing off the boom. Operator saying they give best performance and low drift no use. How can they as most of chemical drifting away in slight breeze !
Thanks!
you will defnitley be round uo barley as we wont get the sun to ripen crops
Far too much chemicals are put on crops unbelievable
Nice update as always, crops looking good same round here, drilled 1000s acres with a kuhn combi drill,,got to have a tidy farm. 👍
Thanks, the crops are looking surprisingly well, especially on the light land…..all the rain lol. We think a tidy farm is important.
Cracking one again thanks and no rain 👍
Thanks 😊
White hares used to be a common sight on the Dava Moor near where I used to stay , there were so many of them it was like a flock of sheep moving on the ground. I haven't been round that way in a long time so I don't know if they are still a common sight. Have walked many miles pulling wild oats out of fields over the years. I couldn't do it nowadays since my hip replacement op, which wasn't a great success. Things are looking good on the farm with you now this year.
Thanks. Very rare round here white hares. Hopefully not to bad a harvest.
Cracking weekly our black grass is terrible we went through with a really wide mower 9m and super skinny wheels.
Thanks Ian. Yep black grass control bad this year, due to no pre- ems applied or diluted by all the rain! We are going to take out the worst patches out.
Another great wee video 👍
Thank you.
Great video . Wow Very rare to see a white hare in your part of the country . Would be interested to know if you see it again. Great to see your operations support shooting which helps to create conservation areas 👍🏻
Thank you.
Will let you know if I see it again.
What you swapping vaddy for? Another vaddy?
Yes we are.
