The shear is a pretty neat piece of kit to watch at work. Certainly quicker and easier than doing it by hand with a chain saw.
Your Fendt had definitely found the soft spot of all soft spots in the field to get stuck so badly in there.
Good video 👍 so satisfying crunches.
Thanks 😊. Yes, stress relief 😂
Nice one poor fendt was well and truly stuck
Services already on the digger, just got someone to wire in the solenoid power feed and relay to a button, that was already on the digger joystick.
I bet it took some getting out !! Great video Simon
Thanks Ian, yes it did, was to busy with everyone trying to get it out, that’s why there is no video, even though it would have made good viewing lol.
Another great one 😊
Thank you 😊
Another good video 👍
Thanks 👍
Interesting video. Even a Fendt can get well planted. LOL
That's true!
I think you have a serious problem in that field, I think you were lucky to get it out without any damage.
Your right, we do, talks with the water company are ongoing about it. Never been right since they put the pipe line in.
Lot of years have past since those trees were cut back Grad and thumb magically piece of kit for cleaning up brash etc
Apparently over 40 years of growth! Agreed thumb and rake really useful bits of kit. Well worth there money.
Another good and interesting video, will you put cut down trees through a chipper?😊
Thanks, no I believe not, some are being used as fire though. We was only contracting for them.
All very interesting this week. I bet you like working there?
Yes, always a lot going on all year round, never get bored, that’s what I like about working hear on the Estate.
Tree shear great job, nothing better than turning ground around. What ball point figure is one of them tree shears
Yes agreed seeing the finished result. About £5500 for the basic unit without the rotator.
Do you have to work every day,or do you get time off during the week?
We don’t work weekends over winter
Good video
Thanks 😊. Yours are to!
Did you have to do any training before you used the shear or was it a case of picking it up as you go along?
No training given, just watch videos on CZcams lol and pick it up as you go! You soon learn.
Isn't you tube just great to learn from.
It is 😊
Great vid. Would you show the joystick next time you’re using it? How many services does it use to swivel, collect and cut? Cheers
Thanks, yes I will show you the joystick controls next time I use it, not a problem. It uses two double acting services, one for the cutting/collecting and one for the rotator. The collector part runs in sequence, with the cutter, holding in every time you cut. The you decide it’s full or just want to release the contents, you press a button on the joystick in conjunction with pressuring the cutter cylinder up and it opens the collector. Basically there is a solenoid on the shear which diverts oil flow.
@@JDautopower is it a kit or did your digger have it on? My 4.8ton Volvo only has 1 function. I’m after a tree sheer for it. Looks hellofa tool
I haven't forgotten about showing you the controls next time I use it
Ul be drilled up in a week so Ul have time to make another video while it’s pissing down again 👍🏻
We have a 433 acre corn, and soybean farm in the US.3,000 acres in England is a very large estate, have your Family owned it long?
It’s not owned by my family, I only work on the estate, but it is owned by a private family, not a company.
Is your estate in England?
Yes it is.
What would you say is your favorite job on the farm?
Tough one that, Ploughing used to be for many years, but I like driving the combine and many other jobs, so I haven’t really got one now, they are all favourite ones lol.
I see that you put 10,000 hours on a 7920.It looks as though you have switched to Fendt tractors?
Yes the 7920 was a good tractor. That was at another farm to this one. All Fendts here nearly now, personally i think they are better than JD’s
