  • A busy week sees spring drilling brought to a close, with it being dry enough to roll! Variable Rate Nitrogen on O.S.R. and finally our Miscanthus is cut for the first time!!!………only a year late!

    I watch with interest quit a few farming channels on CZcams, one thing for sure is there are more acres of spring barley in this year than I can ever remember, I’m hoping you guys get a fair return for all the work and investment you have put into this crop, good luck guys 🤞🤞🤞

    The end of April is getting late for sowing spring barley, but I have sown spring barley in May one late and wet year.
    I've never seen miscanthus growing or being harvested before as it's not grown up in the north east of Scotland. Could be because there isn't a power station to use it up here.
    But if global warming continues, things may change in the future and it could be a crop of the future.
