Imagine knowing that you will struggle with blender eventually. Work up the nerve to finally learn and then click on this video just to get stuck on the first few steps. my cats file doesnt work for some reason, and ofc no one has the same problem in the comments. Then get asked if the file is unzipped, but i never unzipped it. THEN i gotta figure out some out of pocket bs to fix the probably most simplest of problems

Your tutorials are extremely helpful. I've learned so much in a short amount of time and the process is so much fun, but I'm struggling with my own personal customization on my avatar LOL! 1. Say I wanted to add more than one hair to one avatar and have them be interchangeable, how would I do that? 2. Would that be easier to do on unity or blender? No rush! Tried googling but have yet to find anything. Thank you ^^

For some reason when using the gesture manager the visemes work but none of the goloco animations work, my avatar doesn’t even go into the neutral pose shown in the video. Any help?

I imported some physbones into the booty but it’s clipping through the imported clothing! Does anyone know how to fix this?

9:57 I had a small issue. So The shoes I'm using are a pair of slip on shoes by sadi (at the end of the file, it said 0001 so idk if that's just the number for the asset or part of their name). But 1, the texture is really weird and I can't see the laces until I turn the model towards the side. Not only that, but after I did everything you said, the shoes didn't have the modifier that you said would automatically be there after clicking fix model, and they didn't stay to the model when I went into pose mode either.

the blinking wont work it keeps saying rename eye to Eye_L and i do that then it doesnt work

which version of blender are you using? the steps i followed aren't working the same for me (im using 4.0) and im trying to figure out if its like the same issue i had a few weeks ago with a different project of it being just the wrong blender version ;-;

whenever ive tried checking off the "3D view: cats blender plugin" i get a error, this happened last time i tried which is why i just gave up. any idea how to fix it? (nvm i was using a newer version on blender omg)

I know it's been some time, but I was wondering how you got the colors to show through on there? In my blender project only some of the clothing is actually colored (i just want a simple black color but it's showing as the same color as the body making it hard to sculpt)

how do I then take the weight painted asset (say pants for example, and export JUST those along with their armature into Unity? Any special settings needed? Especially if the asset already has blendshapes and you want to keep those.. Thanks!

my nails is messed up like there not where they should be when i went to unity like few are okay but few seemed glitch, i have no idea how to fix it

the clothes i have found all have bones and armatures, what do i do with those ? I saw a comment saying to merge them like hair, but when i do that i have a lot of overlapping bones and cant pose or really check the avatar very well :C

I used to toss together booth models which if you bought a asset all came together in the packages with their materials all set up already, making my first non-booth model and figuring out all the mats has been wild. I feel like people just toss a FBX at you and go "lol figure it out" which had me pulling my hair out, but thanks to you (who explains it all) I understand a whole lot more!! already ran into an issue! i cant seem to get the cats plug in on the side like yours is! i followed the exact intrustions but still wont show

For everyone, only use the development version of the cats plugin and dont use any blender version which is above 3.6! Otherwise the cats plugin wont work anymore! <3
