Just in case if anyone is having the problem that your avatar just becomes completely white, you have to go to the main tab in the poiyomi shader and make sure the rendering preset is cutout. Was wondering why my thing wasn't working until I just figured that out.

Good to have you back! A tutorial I have wanted for a while is a method for intro and exit animations for a specific toggle, (preferably using boolean parameters) You seem to know your way around the unity animator ^^

Does anybody know why this animation might constantly loop after uploading? When I uploaded it and tested in VRChat, the animation works perfectly when I actually go AFK and come back, but for some reason it also seems to loop while I'm playing regularly? I went about into Unity and the AFK animation isn't enabled in the controller's parameters and I removed the FX controller from the avatar's animator component before uploading. Has anybody else had this happen? Can't quite figure it out haha
Solved: I forgot to uncheck "loop time" for the dissolve and undissolve animations lolz

I'm having a problem where my avatar's body becomes brown/black when dissolving and instantly disappears after a certain distance has been met with the Dissolve Alpha, is there any way I can fix it ?
Ah yes, I can make an animation where I can make my body burn away, turn to ash, then nothingness. Would make for a rather terrifying effect. Sounds cool though!
how do I do this for a toggle in the expressions menu, and if I wanted to toggle an object, any guide on how to apply this for the object to load in?

Ok, so I'm slightly new to the VRChat community & have only been playing for a month & a half. I have my own PC/monitor & am able to do a lot of stuff involving VRC on it, but as of rn, I don't have the means/money to commission someone to make my own custom avatar for me for VRC, nor have I found someone who takes commissions. I know this is asking a lot, but is there any possible way for you to make a video about how to make your own avatar for VRC & how to upload it to VRC? From how to get the bases from Gumroad into that unity thing, how unity works to putting hair, clothes, acc in the places they need to be, how to color them, how to rig them, how to upload them, etc.? Again, I know it's asking a lot, but if there's any way I could learn how to do that stuff for myself & even make some commissions for people in the near future, it would be a big help! so i did this and in the last step to check if it works it keeps looping. is this just unity looping that anim or any tips to fix this?
In the Animations Folder where you see the animation, click it so it shows in the Inspector and uncheck Loop Time. I found that fixed it for me. I'm only having a problem with the dissolve not working. Undissolve does, when I load up avatar, but dissolve does not when going AFK.

@@xodiach I did unfortunately I don’t remember what I did to fix. I remember having to mess with the control states in unity to accept it as a command when I went AFK instead of the sitting down pose.
I'm having an issue where my avatar isnt dissappearing, instead its turning white. Any fix for this?
No because quest avatars support only mobile vrchat shaders not poi
Set your rendering preset to cut-out
shit dont work. When I slide the alpha slider, my avatar just turn white and doesnt disappear like the video shows. Also befor you ask, Yes I made sure to turn down the desolve color ALPHA
channel to ZERO.
You have to set your Rendering Pre-set to Cutout🙂

@@AskAmberOfficial lmao nice one. Good video though and definitely got me started down the right path. For some reason this is not responding to actually going afk though. I am using Lyuma av3 emulator to test it and it seems to just play the default afk anim. First I tried deleted the default afk in the action controller as specified. Then I tried to modify the proxy_afk in the default action controller to include my dissolve keyframes from the animations I made but no joy. Do you have any hints as to what I might of done wrong or what I need to do different with the time that has passed since posted? Thanks in advance.
I had abit of trouble with my avatar following your steps because when i was doing the anim it didn't record the dissolve and Resolve so if you have a discord or maybe reply to me asap it would help alot because i wanna add this feature to my avis because i upload alot and like it because i have FBT
Just wondering if you can do a quick video on importing fbx nails that’s not sitting in the T pose or A pose position. How to fix in on the finger, the nails are moving in unison. Please🥹 Has to be a quicker way then material separation 😭😭
