Upgrading Scott Twinlock cocpit with custom dropper post remote lever
In this video I share how easy it is to upgrade Scott Twinlock with addtional dropper post lever to get an optimal and clean cocpit. Similar concept is used by Scott in their newest models that are integrated by the factory.
Customized bike is 2019 Scott Spark RC. Dropper post used is EXA900i (100mm) and the aluminium lever is ZTTO.

    when cutting the carbon, should one not spray a little bit of water onto it, so you do not inhale that stuff?

    • @custombikefactory
      @custombikefactory Před 5 dny

      In case of small tubes such as this, even better solution is to put tape on the place which is cut - spraying water makes a mess and you would need to repeat it several times to make it work. For occasional carbon cutting in my opinion wearing a mask is better - and than it is easy to suck the dry carbon dust.

    Do you know if there's a video that shows you how to remove those main pivot bearings? I'm referring to the ones underneath that stuck bolt you're working on, for the swingarm/chainstay. I'm not sure if you have to use a punch, or if there's a special tool required. I watched your other video on this bike, but those bearings were good on yours and didn't need to be removed. Thank you.

    • @custombikefactory
      @custombikefactory Před měsícem

      I have not seen any special tool for this and using a punch is the way to go. Between these bearings, there is a loose sleeve with two gaps at the end that allow to apply the punch. Typically these bearings should not be reused after removal so using punch is not an issue.

    • @custombikefactory
      @custombikefactory Před 3 měsíci

      Hmm, to be honest I do not remember any issues when calculating the spoke length for these hubs. Remember there is also rim asymmetry and typically in classic wheel, spokes can be longer/shorter of 1-2mm and still it is possible to get good tension from both sides. This however can vary and I usually go for 1mm shorter than what is being calculated on the web.
