Great job and great shot..Does not matter about rack size.. if you are like me you love deer sausage!! I have taken 25 deer since 1991 with a compound!! I just got a new recurve last week..Next level next year i will start hunting with my recurve probably..

Curt, Your killing me ! Awesome Hunt in Kansas. Don't worry about being crazy, your not the only one. This Old South-paw from N.Y too, travels alone every year to Illinois, because all my Old Huntin buddies, are shot ! Their too old, outta shape, etc. When I came home last year, and showed them video of some of the Bucks I passed, they said "Your Crazy !!!" "Yeah I know !" L.O.L'S. I normally don't subscribe or watch any You-Tube channels, but your the exception !

Love your videos, being from N.Y. myself, just a little note. I see your tagging the turkey back at the truck. I believe in N.Y you must fill-out and attach the tag immediately after harvesting. I know It's written a little different for deer, where your allowed to transport the deer back to camp or your vehicle, before you have to tag it. I just wouldn't want you to run into a hard nosed D.E.C officer, waiting for you, by your truck at 12:00, when you come walking outta the woods with a Turkey that doesn't have a tag on it. I know stuff happens, after 50 years of hunting N.Y. a few years ago, I got a ticket for not wearing my back-tag on the outside of my backpack !

Awesome Hunt !! Congratulations !! Amazing with Traditional Equipment . I had a similar experience once.(Compound bow). I shot a bird a little low, in the thighs, but after the shot, it just dropped on the spot. So I thought I was done. After a few minutes, of taking some hero video, I started to walk up to the bird, then all of a sudden, it took off, like a whirlybird, outta control, and flew about 100 yards over the tree tops, and crashed landed down in a creek bottom. Well it took me 4 more hours, to track it down, Thank-God I spotted it with my Binos, hiding in the leaves, in the creek bottom. Then I snuck into 30 yards, and finished him off with another arrow ! Craziest turkey hunt ever, but I got him ! Can't wait to go tomorrow.

Does that bow stand apart from other bows? Just curious how you liked the feel and such and if you plan on sticking with it

Amazing how much damage they can take before going down. I just had the same thing happen. Clean hit and it just kinda shook it off and kept truckin’. Found it dead next morning.
