Bear Hunting the Catskill Mountains!

In 2021, I kicked off the fall in the Catskills hunting the early bear season here in New York. I was invited to hunt with a bunch of friends at a great camp!
I wish I would have captured more of the fun we had at camp...but I promise to this year if I get to go again.
Main camera used to film the hunt was my Sony CX 900 on a proto-type Timber Ninja Archery carbon arm. The 2nd angle was captured with my IPhone 11 pro-max.
The bow I used for this hunt was once again my Timberghost Archery G3SS recurve....56", #53@ 28"

Arrow used was a 3 , 4" feather fletched Beman carbon shaft tipped with a VPA 1 1/4" 200 grain glue-on 3 blade, on a 100 grain steel adapter. Total arrow weight was right at 630 grains.

Bears hear even better than deer alot of times they hang out close to potential food. They will check out stand sites. Scent checking when you leave.

I was not sure whether to post a similar message while watching this hunt. Bears can hear you take a deep breath. Lol
Take this as you may, no disrespect intended but I’d highly advise to not talk, whispers, etc while on the hunt. During editing you can fill in everything you want to say, but not during the hunt. I’ve mainly hunted out west and even with bears hundreds of yards away, we rarely whisper louder than a breath. Good luck and keep at it!

First thing you did wrong was drive around and spook the property the day before the hunt, bears here are weary they’re smart. The fuel smell alone will drive them away for a while.
