- And....once again...Kansas didn't disappoint!!
Crazy November weather, rutting bucks, and good times is what this hunt is all about.
Join me for 11 days of hunting in Kansas that had it all. As usual, a total rollercoaster of highs, and lows!
Main camera used to film the hunt was my Sony CX 900 on a Fourth Arrow Stiff Arm with a custom aluminized base. The 2nd and 3rd angles were captured with Sony AS50 action cams sync'd to a remote.
The bow I used for this Kansas hunt was once again my Timberghost Archery G3SS recurve....56", #53@ 28"

My arrow was a .340 Beman Hunter tipped with a 250 grain VPA 1 1/4" glue-on head on a 100 grain steel adapter....total arrow weight was 630 grains.

Curt, Your killing me ! Awesome Hunt in Kansas. Don't worry about being crazy, your not the only one. This Old South-paw from N.Y too, travels alone every year to Illinois, because all my Old Huntin buddies, are shot ! Their too old, outta shape, etc. When I came home last year, and showed them video of some of the Bucks I passed, they said "Your Crazy !!!" "Yeah I know !" L.O.L'S. I normally don't subscribe or watch any You-Tube channels, but your the exception !

Great video and hunts! That was a heart breaker for sure, but that is hunting also.....he was a giant. That last buck was a giant also.....wonder if it was the same buck you had the encounter with! I enjoyed it very much, thanks for sharing.

That 145” 8 point? Seriously that buck is a long ways from being a gross 170”.

I sure enjoyed that, deer do seem closer from the ground especially when i;m used to being in a tree. Coyotes gota eat too but hate the toll on the spring fawns. I shoot trad too, i like to keep it simple , no sights, i liked the lethal shots you made, this video represents the trad life well, thank you ................

You can go retrieve that doe, you just can’t take your weapon across the line in Kansas. Geez, you guys sorta gave up on that pretty quick.
