I think the colors are the only good point about the show's fashion design, and still I wish the stuck to it a little bit better (for example, with not only Daphne progressively wearing more purple tones but also Simon once they're married). The whole color coding thing was an interesting approach and the Featheringtons' bold colors, inaccurate florals and embroidery used as a representation of how much they try to stand out, but the shape and design of the costumes themselves fails to deliver most of the time, I would rather them wear the same outfit repeatedly than several outfits that look the same, and things like the corset or making no difference between evening and daytime wear really throw me off. I'm not even an expert in historical fashion, it's just that if you dress your character for a walk in the park with the same style and type of clothes that she wears for a ball, how are you supposed to feel that they are specially dolled up for the occasion? It fails to make an impact
