Hi Karolina, as for the W. Morris cushions - there is a store in Prague that sells Morris fabric for reasonable prices, called Bernina centrum and they do deliveries to Poland, might be worth looking at. Shipping to Poland is not overpriced and they have tons of patterns. I love to make dresses from their fabric, it´s a heavier weight cotton.

3 kids, old farmhouse with a lot of decor from 50s to 70s depending on which room.
When I get too jealous of really well done decor I tell mysel that it's a waste to put too much money into decorating until the kids get old enough to be mindful their surroundings 😂

yayyy another update! When you're mostly done with all the rooms, I'd LOVE to see a before/after video walkthrough, because omg you've come such a long way from what it used to be!
The cool thing about cushions/throw pillows is that you can purchase covers in various patterns/styles to change it up every now and then! Way less money than buying all new cushions. ^_^
When Trump got elected, everyone in the Netherlands got rid of their American-flag-items*, including their cushions.
The lady in the thriftshop in my city (Anne) said there was no way that she could sell them at that moment, so she hid them in other, colourful covers.
As long as she put the tag through the zipper, nobody would know there was an American flag hiding in there, until they opened it at home.
*I'm not talking about people that liked America or had any affinity with the country, I'm talking about people that noticed the flag was hip after Obama and jumped on the bandwagon and purchased it for their home to be 'cool' until it was no longer associated with 'cool.'

That was kinda mean of her, though. Deliberately selling people stuff, she knew they wouldn't like, if they had had the opportunity to actually fully check it out. Especially if it's people, who can't afford to repurchase and were then stuck with flag themed stuff.
I never knew, the Dutch cared so much about the USA either way, btw. Or that displaying the American flag was a trend at the time. I don't think, I know any Germans, who went as far as buying flag themed items to display under either president.
So how do the Dutch feel about Biden now? Top or flop? 😅
And so easy to sew yourself.
Thevthing to do is buy the pillow covers where you find them - they take up minimal room in a suitcase - and then buy the filler when you get home.
My grandma made her own pillowcases for the different seasons. She'd even have one side for one season/holiday and the other one something else.
The built ins turned out so beautifully!! Everything's really coming together, can't wait to see the finished product!

As someone who just moved and has a bunch of half-done and empty rooms and things in need of repair I wanna say I really appreciate that your flat renovation videos have spanned a long long time and you're being realistic cuz every other video (specially TikTok) I see about decorating/renovating really makes it feel like you just gonna do it all in a week and you need to buy 236 things all at once
her reaction by the end was so wholesome 😭 it really shows how it must feel to be getting closer and closer to what you have envisioned a while back, and now it's becoming reality even though it seemed impossible.

The apartment is looking so good. So reminiscent of a Poirot episode with David Suchet. I love how this 1930s apartment looks. It's one of my favorite interior design eras, because you have antiques with a modern art deco look. That wardrobe space is absolutely fabulous.
9:35 The piece that’s called Harvest Home is from Thomas Rowlandson’s ‘Dr Syntax’ series from the 1820’s. It’s a great comic series about an absent minded doctor and the wild situations he gets himself into!
I LOVE how the built in wardrobe turned out! It has wonderful detailing, great proportions to the space, and fits so well with your overall aesthetic of the apartment. Gotta love a good build!

Dream wardrobe! Love how your place is turning out. I think it would look great with sheer linnen or lace curtains/roman blinds so that you can keep your privacy but still let in light

The place is looking fantastic! Love your idea for the living room with the gramophone, however, all the furniture on that side of the room is the same height, draw the eye upward, a few pictures on a single ribbon/rope/chain, or a tall plant or other vertical decorative element to pull the eye up. I have an embellished Chinese folding screen against the wall in my 20s home achieving the same thing. Loving your vintage style! that tablecloth! to die for!
The single bed choice in a new flat always surprises me - having the biggest possible bed is my dream and goal - but I admire how great it fits and looks in this vintage inspired room.
I always think the same thing. I finally have a kind sized bed JUST FOR ME lol. 🤣🤣🤣
From my experiences living in the UK, Spain, and Poland--that is really common in the UK and the EU for a single person to have a single bed. Maybe because the bedrooms, apartments, houses are smaller and/ or vintage. They just wouldn't have room for an enormous bed in the smaller living spaces.
I find it odd too and I'm from Europe (someone else in the comments suggested that it's normal here). Also according to feng shui, if you have only single bed in your flat, your love life would suffer...
I have never bothered buying a larger bed. My single is a big single. My bedroom is a small double so putting a proper bed in it would make it cramped. There is a pull out sofa which is a double should that need arise. But to be honest, it’s probably cheaper to rent a hotel room than buy a bed on the off chance I score……if we look at pay per shag…….
And yes, I’m in Europe too so the rooms in my house are tiny. I can’t exactly lose a double bed in one. It would make walking room really tight. I’d rather have the floor space.

Karolina, there is a fantastic market twice a month next to św. Elżbiety near Rynek in Wroclaw that has trinkets and stuff like this. I found tons of 1930s era postcards, letters, porcelain, lamps, trinkets and statues. You would looove it and you would be able to haul your goodies better and cheaper on the train or by courier.

These are always my favorite type of videos Karolina! I must say Poland is quite similar to Denmark, but we could never find a flat as yours. All the millionaires get them and turn them ultra modern, theres even shows on it :,(
usually here in our (Karolina's and mine) city the old apartments are owned by old people who lived there their entire lives and who don't have enough money/don't want to modernise them. Most rich people want to live a bit more outside of the city, where it's less polluted and not many people want to deal with bad insulation, ancient plumbing etc. I even saw once a rule list for an old building from early 20th century mentioning keeping hens in cages in the apartments.

Everything is looking so good! I appreciate you taking us on this journey. It's a much more realistic version of home decorating, showing that it takes time to put together a cohesive look, not just a weekend like we see on TV. Finding the right pieces over time and being able to afford each stage of the process is something that's not talked about too much.

Czy, jako osoba zainteresowana zarówno historią ubioru, jak i kostiumami i filmografią, rozważałaś może stworzenie stroju odtwarzającego lub inspirowanego folkiem? To mógłby być ciekawy pomysł, także dla twoich zagranicznych widzów. Ja sama też w tym roku uszyłam folkową spódnicę i jestem z niej bardzo zadowlona, mimo że to nie do końca moja bajka bo zwykle wybieram bardziej stonowane kolory i wzory. Jestem ciekawa jak ty podeszłabyś do tematu :)
