The Other Man in The Iron Mask
#blacksmith #blacksmithing #sculpture
In this video, i construct a replica of the iron mask from the 1977 movie The Man in The Iron mask.
It is made from flat barstock and sheet steel and features a "rough from the forge" aesthetic.

Brass Wolf Head - Repousse
zhlédnutí 1,9KPřed 6 měsíci
#blacksmith #blacksmithing In this video, I create a stylized wolf head with 18 gauge brass sheet. This was a satisfying project because I started and finished it on the same day with a bit over 5 hours in total time spent. I chose to add no dialogue as I felt the process was more or less self-explanatory, but please leave any questions in the comment section, and I will try to answer them. Bec...
Forging a Gladiator Helmet - Part 1 - Hot Dishing

#blacksmith #blacksmithing #armor #gladiator #helmet In this video, I hot dish a disc of silicon bronze to form a helmet bowl. This bowl is the beginning of a series wherein I construct a bronze gladiatorial helmet. The starting disc is 1/4" thick material with 8 3/4" diameter. In addition to dishing, various cold forming techniques are utilized to achieve the final shape. Credits: Matthew Mart...
Copper Gargoyle Sculpture Made From Repurposed Pots and Pans

#blacksmith #blacksmithing #sculpture In this video, I build a sculpture using various copper vessels. This is challenging because I am trying to retain some of the features of the copper pots and pans while also morphing them into anatomically plausible body parts for the gargoyle. Repousse and armouring techniques are used to modify the shapes. Copper rivets and soldering are utilized to join...

VEVOR 12KG Propane Melting Furnace - Thak Ironworks Reviews

#blacksmith #blacksmithing In this video, I experiment with bronze casting using the Vevor 12KG Propane Smelting Furnace Kit Melting Furnace Double Burners 2700 degrees F. The furnace is easy to set up and use, quickly bringing the silicon bronze scraps to the melting point. My lack of experience with casting is rather apparent, and my results are less than ideal. Copper Sink - Sculpt Nouveau Torch and Everclear
zhlédnutí 1,5KPřed rokem
#blacksmith #blacksmithing In this video, I experiment with two sculpt nouveau products, a patina and a clear coat. I like the look of flame-treated copper, but on certain pieces, such as the sink in this video, warpage would occur if I heated it. Sculpt Nouveau's TORCHED patina compound creates this effect without the use of heat. EVERCLEAR is a 2 part solvent Urethane resin that comes in a sp...

Es! Я научился и повторил.
Из Калининграда привет 😁
Espectacular!!!!
I love the urukai helmet. The savagery and simplicity
Had a great time watching. I've been making armor for 30 years, Its always fun to see how other people approach the process. I use a press since my elbow has given out.
Greek helm, for sure. Anything greek, hoplite, spartan or roman related makes me week at the knees 😂😂
This guy is awesome
that is sooooo fuggin cool man
would love to see how you make a skull brutalist finger ring
that is great! gotta make me one of those. Thanks for sharing!
Looks a bit like a Star Wars stormtrooper
did you chek my way ?
What is your purpose for upsetting the rods is it just to make them softer or is there another purpose? I was interested and directed to this technique for making an electromagnet stronger. Perhaps there is a better way to identify soft metal idk I'm green to metal works
Always the best master....
Great job man and looks great. One small comment I think the dome part of the top was flat faced and not ball round.
I'm here after playing AC Odyssey
Greek looks the sleekest but they all look exquisite
Awesome
still enjoy watching this
“Come Back With Your Shield, Or On it” Well done.
Did this come with refractory cement? I just got one and id doesnt seem to have any.
Pretty slick. Thank you for going through all this trouble. Just to teach some newbie how to make a skull
Great work! ^^ Thanks so much for sharing <3 loved this
I love all the knowledge you inçluded. It's scary and crazy to think this is how wars were faught in the medieval times. Is that you wearing that armor? If so you look amazing and intimidating. I couldn't picture going to war and seeing someone as big as you hahaha.
That's so bad ass. Look at those paws on you. Your hands must be like cinderblocks. The Hound helmet suits you well, sir.
smash
1 like for the bathory shirt😂
0:16 "I know what you're saying to yourself right now..." Me: Is this guy 6' 4" or 4' 6"? (Inspiring video ty!)
this man's channel is criminally underrated
Imagine mass producing these. I do know at least in Sparta, they were responsible for obtaining their own shield and weapons.
Let me ask a question:Why you are feeling need to do it by your hand? For example, using my hydraulic press, I can craft same thing in half hour and save my shoulder
It would work out a bit easier if you used negative molds for the first two forms before transitioning to the positive mold. If you were making them regularly, I would even make a few top and bottom dies so you could hammer or press them into shape even faster.
It was still quite common to rent coffins back when that one was made, so it may actually be a used coffin. It is still common for caskets to be rented for funerals today if the person is going to be cremated.
Would the center catch perform well in actual use? Would it shake open with impact? I like the accessibility of it and the sexy reveal of the face. Just my armchair thought. Amazing work and enjoyable commentary
Awesome as always! I think the new studio light actualy did make some differense, it looks a bit brighter to me.
The 1930s mask resembles the mask from the "V for Vendetta" movie. Thak quoteable quote: "...people in the middle ages were primarily dicks..." What a great opening line for a history prof. Great sheet metal work Robb. Always enjoy watching you work.
These videos are so awesome. 4k, excellent editing and ofcourse amazing blacksmithing \m/
I LOVE MATCH GODES SSBBW LARGE BIG!1!!!!!!!! PERFECTS WOMANS!!!!!
Ya this is awsome
Loving it!
I am the owner of both masks and they look even more AWESOME in person! Thanks Robb for doing the video, your interest in my projects, and for allowing me to own two incredible works of art. It's so great to have a video on the making of one of my masks. Thanks again for everything. Your talents are astounding!!
Your perverted niche is awesome, it let us see thak kill another masterpiece!
How awesome, such talent and skill 👍👍
Excellent execution as usual! The tighter fitting mask would be hellish at first, but I think a person would get used to it, like a balaclava, but having this loose fitting thing rattling around locked on your head would drive a person more insane. The looseness giving half a sense it could be removed, the constant knocking about if you moved, treating your skull like a bell clapper… this may be the more fiendish version.
Hey THAK. The peasants are demanding a series on torture devices. Please do something to calm them down 😰
Thanks for sharing this. It's always interesting
Now do the Quiet Riot mask!
Phenomenal work, thanks for sharing your process, it came out amazing!
