Wizard's Ladle - Hobbit Hole

In this video, I forge a ladle with a steel handle and a bronze bowl.
For handle decoration, I chose a wizard motif in low relief. Low relief, is almost two-dimensional as opposed to full 3D sculpture. Almost 2D but not quite. The process involves a number of chisels and punches along with a bit of grinder and file work.

i think the bronze gunk has a long way to go before it can overtake the amount of crap that finds its way inside a blacksmiths tummy
Both badass and slightly cute. No complaints here! Can I suggest rabbit stew? You need a brace of coneys and a few good taters. some salt from a little carved box maybe.
If you want to be safe, pretty easy to lay in a coating of "tin" to line the inside of cauldron and ladle which is traditional on all copper cook wear. Nice work

I confirm that the 60lbs Newman swage block is awesome and for a very reasonable cost when you consider the number of V and half-round swages you get on it compared to purchasing separate hardie hole swages for all these sizes.

Very nice! As for the safety of cooking in bronze it's rather safe depending on the alloy just as long as you don't start cooking every meal in it you'll be just fine regardless however it's not a bad idea to heat them up to a boil just to get rid of leftover oils and bluing prior to initial cooking 👍🏻
