ROBOTICS | Miniature 3-axis robotic arm
Millions of years of evolution have created the most universal and perfected instrument - the human arm. Everything in our modern world exists thanks to this instrument. Even to this day, the industry has not found a more versatile tool to manipulate objects in 3D space than the robotic arm, which is essentially a mechatronic copy of a biological arm. The versatility of the robotic arm is truly unique. Combined with advanced machine vision and various end effectors, it can be used for almost anything. Today, the rapid development and miniaturization of mechatronic systems allow expanding the scope of use even further. In particular, until recently the size of the robotic arms was limited by the size of motors, gearboxes, and controllers. And now we see great momentum toward micro-automation with the use of miniature highly precise robotic arms. Most importantly, the cost of these robots approaches the cost of similar Cartesian systems. Thus, they can be effectively used in micromanipulation and micro-assembly processes for various domains.
In this video, you can see a short demonstration of a miniature 3-axis robotic arm using ultra-precise Harmonic Drive gearheads, high-performance brushless motors, high-resolution absolute encoders, and integrated controllers.

ROBOTICS | Backdrivability and speed test of Harmonic Drive-based robotic actuator
zhlédnutí 57KPřed 2 lety
This video briefly demonstrates a high-speed positioning test of the robotic actuator based on the strain wave gear from Harmonic Drive. The average input speed recommended by the manufacturer for this particular gearhead is limited to 3500 rpm, which accordingly gives 70 rpm (or 420 deg/s) on the output flange of the gearhead with a gear ratio of 50:1. In addition, the test shows that the actu...
ROBOTICS | Measuring repeatability of a strain wave gear from Harmonic Drive

A high gear ratio with no backlash in a very compact size - is what makes the strain wave gear a key component for precision industrial robots. The strain wave transmission (also known as a harmonic drive) was invented in the fifties and has not changed since then. Moreover, it's difficult to find better alternatives to this day. Thanks to the strain wave gears, industrial robots are known to b...

The inspiration behind KINEMATICS is to showcase a variety of robotic solutions and combinations filmed in an artistic way. Minimalistic modular design over the grey seamless background expresses the idea of the project in the best way possible leaving minor details and routine behind the scenes. KINEMATICS | Tripteron 3-DOF Cartesian parallel robot (This is not CGI)

Tripteron is a truly unique robot that combines the properties of serial and parallel mechanisms at the same time. It has three translational degrees of freedom independently controlled by three actuators which correspond to the x, y, and z axes of the Cartesian coordinate system. Thus, the robot has a straightforward kinematic model and does not require any complex equations to control it. Nev...

The Tripod, also known as a zero-torsion parallel mechanism, has three degrees of freedom (3DOF): translation along the z-axis, and rotation about the x-axis and y-axis. The mechanism has symmetric architecture and consists of three identical legs connected to a mobile platform via spherical joints. Revolute joints connect the other ends of the legs to prismatic actuators. Thus, the mechanism h...

Delta robot is probably the most common and well-known type of parallel robots found in today's industry. It is difficult to find an alternative among other manipulators when we talk about speed. Indeed, delta robots are known for their high speed and ability to reach extreme accelerations due to the fact that all the heavy components of the robot (motors, guides, gearboxes) are fixed, while th...

What the cost of a motor like this at per piece vs bulk buy of 20+?
About 100 euros per motor (check maxon online shop)
Слава Украине! ✌️
Героям Слава!
I loved the way you represent in your video. A solid mix of tech and art. What BLDC are you using please? I am looking for a tiny one but with 45-50 kgcm of torque:)
Thank you! :) I use flat motors from maxon. The torque you need is way too much for a tiny motor, but achievable with a gearbox.
what type of motor do you use? Sir
bldc
Looking good! What are you using for ball joints? I'm hoping to build a Stewart platform camera platform.
Neodymium magnet and steel sphere
@@OleksandrStepanenko ok, I would never have guessed that! Thanks!
robot wars !!
Hi Oleksander, Is there any commercial 3-axis robot (same size or bigger) like this one?
Not exactly, but you can check this: dorna.ai/robots/

My eyes tell me this is CGI. Use real environments, next time.
At first I thought “this is a 3D demo,” and then I read the title of the video ...
What a thing of beauty!
😊
From the way the lighting is setup to how clean and shiny some stuff is. It looks like a really good blender animation but Ik it’s real
hello, what drive did you use to make this arm?
Tinymovr
Can you make a video explaining how to control and the number of its cycles
It uses an encoder and keeps track of the position. Probably a hall effect sensor. The PCB right of the BDC monitor is the encoder.
Epic Rap Battles of HISTORYYYYY!! Serial Robot..... VS........Parallel Roboooooooot.....BEGIN!
What would you need the different types for? Only seen the arm type before this is very impressive.
Amazing! Would've loved some more info: which one is superior in terms of price-performance? Are they interchangeable or used for different tasks? Thx
This is CGI 😂
Stick a joystick on the top and make a 6 dof game controller
With a mechanical efficiency sub 90%, that’s their downfall in becoming the way, as opposed to an option amongst many.
Parallel robot looks so funky lmao
New gaming chair idea?
Well, not new:)
What type of engines are these?
BLDC
If only u did the other direction as well. Going into minus then back, stop at zero and to the start. For backlash measurment.
there is no backlash by design:)
How do you guys make these parts so good then. Is it lathe work mainly? @@OleksandrStepanenko
@@leonordin3052 those are Japanese gearheads, these guys know how to make them right:)
do you need one more motor based control joint on this?
human strength will be like a pedal assist. if that happens just ignore me
speed of arm moving is excellent parts are excellent how much power it consume. in my opinion you can actually use that to build a suit like iron man legs and arms suit like a starship trooper suit speed is important and accuracy of movement for building a power suit and we just need to solved how much power it consumes and the weight of that arm.
Please can you tell how can i beald arm like this for my project of end education
This is realy awesome arm
Are you selling these?
Unfortunately, no

Typical human behaviour,, watching others doing something which empicates an emotional heartfelt reaction, that is really the feeling of that of which is being observed being bleed of one of its best character traits of which is being observed mostly without permission being sampled by mass demand numbers seeing something usually meant for only one, and for any animal or sweet little or big Alien, through subspace to through and out the chest diaphragm and throats of those humans seeing it in the form of Aaawwhhh ,, or oohhhh, leaving the thing that was viewed feeling violated and usually if informed of that that has just happened being very willing to learn any more people human social conversations ,, , just to feel like they are loved for what they are despite their different makeup of cells structure and frame form, but really wasting to many years chasing acceptance by those that should have been electrocuted by those doing the watching,,,,🐾🐾🦎woof!!🇦🇺
What a great drilling and tapping machine this would make. Can this be used with arduino uno? TIA
Have a biesse 342 with broken servodrives but servos works great. They are 290v dc brushless. Do you think could be done with some type of h bridge or something?
you should definitely try! Just get a Tinymovr
