The moment something that isn't CGI but looks like CGI is more fascinating than something that is CGI but looks real...
Well said!
Another example is starship sn10 landing. The part where camera looks the flipping rocket from below and engine shines straight in the camera is surreal.
@@outandabout259 Sorry, but I'm not impressed by something NASA did over 30 years ago way better with the DC-X...
And I really don't get why people freak out seeing millions over millions of dollars getting wasted in technology that leads nowhere.
@@ActionHeinz that technology leads in Mars in a few years and I am happy to see it happen.
@@outandabout259 If it happens... well, good for everybody and I will have no issues admitting I was wrong. But at the moment I can't see it happening. Not even close. I am a man of science and what SpaceX is doing will lead to a dead end. They'll experience the same limitation as NASA did. Unless they are inventing rocket fuel that is at least three to five times more energy dense (and this is highly unlikely) this whole "carry tons of fuel around to be able to land safely" thing is everything but practical. The rest of a rocket is nothing more than a Coke can containing the fuel. There is not much more to get out of it. As I said, NASA dumped this whole story with this kind of reusable rockets 30 years ago even though they managed to land the DC-X perfectly. SpaceX fails even at this very early point but they are talking about sending man to Mars or travelling around the world in a matter of hours within the next few years... Sorry, I just can't believe that.
I'm not hating Musk. He is a businessman and as this he achieved more than I ever will... by a long shot. But he is no scientist, he is a dreamer. Maybe his dreams will come true some time.... but I doubt it will happen in the near future as promised. If we travel to Mars like on a cruise in less than 50 years... I would be surprised.
I can't get over your videos, they're absolutely amazing, I need more.
Thank you so much!
:)) exactly
What do you do professionally? I'm just a student not even graduate but the fact that I love robotics so much I have to consider you my god I mean atleast for how simple and we'll built these rails are and the way your videos are produced , it just hits the right spot in the viewers mind..
I'm not as good as you may think 😀 That's just a little bit of inspiration and years of trying and failing. Thank you for the good words, really appreciate it!
When the video is so clean you have to specify "not cgi" in the title ^^
Very impressed work, I suggest you post a video showing these are real and not animations/simulations. In previous videos I kept seeing comments asking what software for simulation/animation. I think it'll bring a lot more attention to your channel if people realize this fact. Keep up the amazing work. Huge fan.
Hi Fernando, thank you for the good words, I appreciate it. You are right, I was planning to post some "Behind the Scenes" videos later. Thanks again.
In the very first video, you can see him pick up the gadget with his hand :)
@@OleksandrStepanenko 6 months gone by, no "behind the scenes" whatsoever :)
Man, the trained eye sees the flickers only in moving shadows, the trained eye can see how eg. the cables material (which you set up in blender or c4d...) is only set to an almost plain "grey" half reflective one, no cracks in the cable's housing? come on...
The trained eye can see, that there is NO FOCUS on this footage or any other of yours, which means it wasnt recorded with a real camera, but with a virtual one :)
The trained eye can see, that in order for metal sliding on metal, you need fkin lubrication, which is NOT present, otherwise, it would have a REAL squeaky sound, AND wouldnt move as smooth as it does...
Also, the audio is not coherent with how many parts are moving...
Its a great 3d animation otherwise, no problem there mate, you must be good at what you do, which I suppose is engineering, also good at making 3d concepts for your work.
But please, please, dont be the Uri Geller of engineers... you know, thats that magician guy, whom said of himself, that "no its not tricks, I can really bend spoons with my mind"...
@@larrysky3052 When someone tries to convince me that my videos are too perfect to be real, that sounds like a compliment 😀

@@OleksandrStepanenko In the video, we are seeing *moving camera* .
The uploaded videos about the different machines, are stationary.
So, the "making of" videos are NOT actually showing, how you recorded the following titled videos:
- KINEMATICS | Hexapod (Gough-Stewart platform) 6-axis parallel robot (This is not CGI)
- KINEMATICS | Serial robot vs. Parallel robot (This is not CGI)
These are stationary shot videos, the "making of" shows moving camera.
How come you uploaded the stationary videos instead of the moving ones? :)
Perfect music, and everything else!
Thanks! Really appreciate!
After designing and working with lots of 2-6 axis machines, the simple motion of screw driven by a stepper grabs my attention, this channel is going to be amazing, love the Music, and love the noisy steppers.
P.S. never upgrade to Trinamic drivers :P
Thank you! 😊
Its mating robots season !
Балдеж!
Спасибо :)
👏 very nice design it’s like a jackscrew on rails & smart controlled the algorithms are amazing 🤩
I love the sound in this one. I dont even need to watch it.
Oleksandr, you should see the kinematics in our FrictionLess Gear and Rotary Universal Device [pump/engine/etc.] mechanism
Cool
Шикарные роботы, выглядит впечатляюще
I find it HILARIOUS that people think this isn't CGI 😂Your 'behind the scenes look even less real.
Your designs make think about the ED-209
the jello jiggler
I wonder if this could be adapted for vehicle suspension and steering. It could allow for active vs passive suspension and the vehicle could perform continuous adjustments ensuring perfect alignment at all times. While on the fly it could also adapt the suspension geometry for a sport mode where it provides more camber and vehicle lean angle for maximum grip on turns. Sensors like LIDAR and others could scan the terrain surface ahead and put the wheels in the exact locations needed to minimize NVH from potholes or speed bumps. Being an active suspension it could even adapt and follow the terrain in real time for off road situations like Baja or rock crawling. Actively controlling the geometry could allow the tire to always be in the most optimal spot for traction at all times, for all situations.
Sounds more like an idea for a Mars rover :) Then this robot fits better: czcams.com/video/gKlqojXk1nw/video.html
wonderful work. thanks
Thanks for watching!
У тебя такие модели зачетные. Цвет мет и нержавеющая сталь выглядят дорого и эстетично
You've gotta try curving the tracks and the interconnecting arms. Some kind of curved thing would do this magic at least 10 times faster, I bet.
Not sure I understand...
@@OleksandrStepanenko the time it takes for a servo motor to crawl through a track that is a curve in the same way it has been done here in a linear fashion, would or could at least, perform the expected result faster than it needing to travel as far as it does here in a line, because changing the angle of the arm across a radius is going to be a larger input giving a much faster movement of a linked arm who's angle is dependent on that changing input driven side.
And here we see two tripods mating.
Can these robots lay completely flat and can they tilt in all directions or just 4 directions? Great work!!
the longer the rod, the higher point of breakage
I'm no engineer and I have no idea what this is used for but I like it!
3D Printer and other plotters :)
Do all the axes have to be perfectly positioned and aligned? Or what is the tolerance?
Yes, everything must be perfectly aligned, as this directly affects the accuracy of the robot.
Are those actuators off-the-shelf? What about the screw, where did you get that? Thanks!
It's my design. Everything is machined.
Are you still using Mach3 to drive the axes? How have you implemented the kinematics? :)
You're right, that's Mach3.
I use G-code that contains all the trajectories for the motors.
However, you can also specify kinematics by adding formulas directly to Mach3.
@@OleksandrStepanenko how are you generating your trajectory and g-code for your kinematics? From there one could use a universal g- code sender/mach3 or alike to drive it?
@@bryankelly7712 there are libarys out there which handle the stewart platform calculation.
DanR from marginallyclever.com made one for (rotary) stewart platform, which accepts gcode commands.
(github.com/MarginallyClever/Rotary-Stewart-Platform-2-firmware)
But sadly it does not work with linear Stewart Platforms like this... maybe we could change it to work with linear stewart platform - join us in the forum!

Are the actuators and leadscrews self-made? If yes, do you have a store to sell? where can someone get to buy? Thank you
Yes, this is my design, but I do not sell it, however CAD models are available so you can build something similar or exactly the same: grabcad.com/oleksandr.stepanenko-1/models

Thank you doctor,
Appreciated. Unfortunately cannot generate parts from the assembly STL.
Would you please share us CAD files or components STL?
Thank you again
Between the rails, I wonder if they are springs.
we have to talk about my farm and this, please!
INCEPTION, KINCEPTION(?)
Bad luck with the algorithm. This should have blown up. Maybe daily does of internet could somehow notice it? Anyways, good luck and for some reason I still can't believe it's not extremely well done CGI.

How to buy one?
Not for sale, unfortunately. This is a prototype.
What are you using for the ball & socket joints? Are they simply magnets and ball-bearings...?
А если на нижнюю пластину поставить "гайку" в кардановом подвесе, а на верхнюю направленный вниз винт также в кардановом подвесе и на него выходное звено, то эта хрень сможет все 6 осей крутить.
