Put the Viper on my S&W MP9. It wasn't optics ready, so I went with a dovetail mount from EGW. I loose the back sight, but I am still putting good groups together. I didn't know about the auto off feature, so I like that.

Aero for budget oriented build, BCM/SOLGW for mid-tier, LMT/DD for bougie build. Or you could just troll everyone and get a BCA, then immediately regret that decision 😂 After building my own upper a few years ago, that's my preferred option now

I have never had a problem with the weight of an all steel gun. In fact I find it quite comforting to carry. Maybe it's because I am a big guy and I have always loved 1911's.

I'd put the Magpul SGA stock set on it though; 14" LOP is stupidly long for 99% of the people out there below 6 feet tall. I'm doing the same thing with my 590A1 18" when I get around to it.

Swap the furniture. The PTR is already non-traditional with the welded pic rail, might as well lean into the “modernized” look. Also, do you still have the OCL Lithium 9? I was hoping you would compare lithium, RS9, and Wolfman!

Love the 1911,but it is heavy for capacity obviously,but if you’re good with them getting the hits to count is obviously much easier with a full size 1911(of any full size gun)if you can make the 7-8 you have count when it maters and you can keep your pants up,I say Rock the 1911 for sure.

The only objectively correct MP5 build is fixed stock and old school Surefire light fore end. Full on 90s SWAT style
