Don't know if you ever saw the film "Sinners and Saints" but this is the pistol of the main character. Awesome pistol, awesome film. Did a great job of making me want one!
It's because of that movie and Johnny Strong is why I want the TRP Operator full rail version!
I love my " long railed" TRP. Very accurate and very hard to find. I'm glad you found one.
I also love my full rail TRP. I love it so much that it needed another companion so I recently snatched up the 5" railed 10mm TRP.
Is your 10mm a complete full rail like the 45?
@@speedyx8988no, it’s a half rail. It’s a great pistol.
They actually have been putting out big batches of these lately, talked to an SA rep at my store couple months ago they said theyll be dropping yearly batches of these going forward so should be little easier to find. Theyve been fairly easy to find on gun deals lately as well for 16-1800 for anybody looking. Picked me up one a while back both full rail and stainless theyre both great.
Absolutely my favorite 1911! I scored one last week in my state of Texas!!!! Long live Texas!!!!!
Nice!! Glad you got one it is truly a beast
Thank you for the kind words!! Awsome review!!
The first pistol I ever fired (high school kid) was a Colt 1911 Gold Cup National Match that a friend of mine borrowed from his dad. We went to the range and had a great time . When we went up to the counter to buy more ammo, the guy wouldn't sell any to us since we were both under 21. That really sucked, but that pistol totally rocked.
Absolutely love the TRP - arguably the peak aesthetic for 1911s
Yes Sir round of applause 🙌 👏 👍 awesome video
I have the loaded operator full rail with night sights, match grade barrel, I purchased in ‘97 and it’s still running great after thousands of rounds…
That’s my #1 favorite handgun I own. And is one of my favorite ccw in full size.
I rotate this and my sig p365x
Can't wait finally got my hands on one 🙌 🤪 and should be here in a couple of days been a expensive holiday weekend also finally got my backordered CZ Tactical Sport Orange 2 9mm bull barrel !
I absolutely love mine! No issues at all.
Those grips are the Kensight Sharkskin grips.
If you like Harrison makes a solid rear sight for this bomar cut
Oh yeah babyyy. I threw an ed brown threaded barrel and a silencerco osprey on my full rail and its killer such a timeless piece
I reproduce the grips almost. I use the Ergo plastic XT grips and then silicon carbide them. The plastic work better than the rubber version fyi. They look and function identically and are cheap.
I want to know what you sold to get this?
@FirearmFreedom Yes its a beautiful 1911. Have you found a holster for this gun in particular? Most 1911 holsters arent molded to accept the full picatunny rail
Safariland has one
Falco holsters
lol I have this gun. It’s my favorite gun of all time.
I decided to get back into shooting at 58, I live in California so my choices of what I can purchase are very limited. I bought this gun off the website of a nearby gun store before I even knew just how special it is, in fact this is the only 1911 I own. I have to say this gun is the most hardcore and serious handgun available on the California roster that I know of. Just holding it lets you know real quick exactly what this gun was made for. I thought I was buying a nice range toy but ended up owning a hardcore combat pistol ready to go into battle. This is not a nice gun, it’s a serious weapon.
I will say it is a fantastic gun I've got this and the 3/4 pistol. I would add though dollar for dollar objectively the Dan Wesson specialist is a superior pistol I've got the 45 and 9
Glad i got mine when i did 1400 but love it
Surprised trigger guard isn’t bigger for gloved fingers. That said, awesome pistol.
I just got mines today waited for 10 months to get it. I was losing patience already but thank god that I waited.i got it for 2k
I like my local FFL they have a policy for new Firearms 90 day layaway. Any used only 30 day's. Bought alot of Firearms because of that. Own the regular Stainless Steel TRP. Wanted a Nighthawk GRP but too pricey.
I called Springfield asking about the sand paper grips. You only get them with this model of TRP. No one else makes them
That is true a good substitute it's sharkskin grips from Ken sight
@@user-tr4wp3db2l awesome thanks bro. I’m actually giving my set of TRP grips to my bro. I don’t mind anything close
I love everything about this gun. Not gonna lie though for the price, the mim parts bother me. I know they are well made but for that price, should be fully machined parts
I didn’t quite catch how you feel about this 1911😂
Sooo dose it have MIM parts ?
Nvm just got to the part where your int mind paying high dollar for mim.
nice
Thank you!
Also the trp that you hv there is pre 2017 model it has black t finish not ceracote the black t is much better
Yeah, FrUCK the FBI
It’s far from the best, but for a production gun it’s pretty good.
Would you pick it up for 1900$?
Picked up mine for 1800
Not everybody is into WML's.
llow much faster takedown with NO extra tool/ pin Etc.
I know that the gun isn’t loaded, I know it won’t shoot me thru the screen but I still move my head when he is show casing the gun and the barrel is pointing at me thru the screeen lol
A nice mass production pistol almost comparable to Dan Wesson.
2011/DS have made 1911s obsolete. No reason to ever own a single stacked pistol in 2024
Lmao 2011’s are nothing new kid. They’ve been around for 30 years. They are exclusively 9mm caliber.Less reliable than single stacks.Definitely less reliable than other high-cap 9mm’s like Glock and FN.Magazines for 2011’s are grossly overpriced when they are typically the source of reliability issues.
There is a huge difference between 1911s and 2011s. Not even taking into account the capacity. All steel, single stack 1911s with that thin grip will never be obsolete
Yep, still putting the cheese grater fornt strap on these things.
Cool story bro..
That full rail just ruins it for me... I'd much prefer the short rail or no rail. Just looks wonky. The light helps the looks when it covers it up but you can never run it naked. Takes the classic lines of the 1911 and takes a dump on it. Love the channel!
Totally disagree with you. I own this 1911 specifically for how it looks. I also own no rail and half rail models. I love them all. To each his own.
