I pushed my cleaning rod down as far as I can see it go until it hit the metal that prevented it from going down all the way, I then got a sharpie to mark where it stops I then cut it off with a dremel I put it back in and it was a snug fit I had to soft mallet it one tap and it’s good, I like look more with it even though it’s now useless but it still gives me that look I like now with my alpha series quad rail.

The Midwest products are nicely made and durable. I have 1 of their side mounts that holds zero very well and is as low as possible to the reciever. I can still find 7.62X39mm near me BUT it's far more expensive than it was a year ago. Most of what I can find today is brass cased.

For corrosive ammo I’ve heard hitting it with hose or in the shower then WD40 to display all the water or dry with heat gun and oil every thing.
