    It's really cool to see the vp9 back on the channel! I'm invested in a glock, and it works for me. But the vp9 would be the only pistol that could make me switch. I've seen videos of guys shooting the absolute snot out of them.

    The VP9 is my EDC also for the last 8 years. It was the first pistol I bought and now I have three VP9s. I do not know why other HK pistols are more expensive in the USA. Here in Bulgaria, the price for a VP9, P30 and USP is the same.

      @jamesmaysflyingwashingmach7459 Před 6 měsíci +2

      I think it's because H&k is mainly a military/police contractor, and most of their distribution is in Europe. So the market is more saturated with their products on the continent. Also I think there's some trade law issues that make H&k importation more expensive for Americans.

    My gun store tells me my new H&K VP9 9MM BLK 17+1 FS | OPTICS READY will be here this week! It's my first handgun and I'm really stoked about getting started in this sport. A competitive shooter buddy of mine mentioned that I might want to try some different ammunition brands to see if my VP9 likes one more that the other as far as smooth operation goes. has anyone had any issues with one brand over another?

    Great gun. I polished the feed ramp on day one with flitz and a polishing tip on a dremel. Not a single FT-Fire or Feed ever. I got about 2k through it as I don't shoot like I used to. I did switch out the slide backplate for a solid one. Saw a vid of VP9 not doing well if dropped in water or something. So just shored up that unnecessary entrance port for water and debris. I can care less about the cocked indicator being gone.

    Great review. I purchased 2 VP9's last year 2023. When you mentioned hardcore HK'ers slam the VP9. What model did they prefer and why?

    • @hks956
      @hks956 Před 5 měsíci +2

      They just slam it because its "cheap" compared to other guns in the lineup but it costs less because its striker fired and polymer. Not because it is cheap. IMO its the nicest striker fired gun you can get along with the pdp. I have a usp compact and p30 and I carry and like my vp9 more. Better trigger, lighter, simpler, and I just shoot it faster in drills. Yeah the usp is considered the holy grail to most hk people but the modern vp9/p30 grip is better. The people who slam it are like 1911 guys shitting on glock. Just ignore them they probably never shoot.

    • @ilift45s81
      @ilift45s81 Před 3 měsíci

      Own both and other than being able to use the same mags their are some differences. Both mine have been worked on by Rick Holm at Lazy Wolf Guns and they are completely improved in the area of trigger pulls now. Love both, but comparing them is tough cause striker vs DA/SA pull. The P30L has a different recoil assembly spring than the VP9. It seems to almost knock the recoil down to CZ like recoil impulses. It’s crazy. The VP9 doesn’t kick bad it just more pronounced than the P30L. Accuracy wise they’re both lights out. Very accurate.

    Real HK fans have come to accept that the VP9 has earned its keep and it’s not the “poor mans” HK. If anything its a gateway HK into the rest of their lineup. Since it became optics ready and has a 17 round flush capacity. Its become one of the top tier striker fired handguns
    It exudes the same quality,accuracy and reliability as anything else HK makes. It comes down to hammer vs striker preference.

    And why do they rip on the VP9?
    I CC a VP9sk with a holoson scs and it’s a great handgun
    I also own a USP 9 compact another great handgun
    And no, you don’t need the LEM trigger
    Train it
    The LEM is a very unique trigger system that you won’t find on the vast majority of other handguns in the market double action or striker fired
    Dry fire the DA/SA about 2000 times and you will have a broken in trigger system
    You don’t need to actually fire 2000 rounds of live ammo
    16 year disabled combat veteran here 18b and I know my weapon systems
    I’ll end this with by saying
    My opinion
    My experience
    Because there will those that don’t agree and for arguments sake you cannot debate opinions ✌️🇺🇸
