A small mistake with the Ssi-ruuk, they used entechment, which uses technology to rip the 'life energy' from sentients and use this energy to power their systems and droids not magic. Though Entechment and Enchantment are very similar words so I can see where you got confused. They were unknown to the known galaxy until the later days of the empire where they found that human energy lasted longer then other species and made a deal with Palpatine to give him this technology in exchange for human planets. As to how Luthen got to and survived an encounter with the murderous, zealous, slave keeping space raptors is a mystery.

Prefacing this comment as somebody who isn't a star wars fan but enjoys star wars content from time to time. About 9 minutes and a half into the video and the narrator says the IGBC turns their droid forces into one of the most powerful in the galaxy. It seems to be this was done with Grievous' help. But a few minutes prior he says that Grievous' species had to steal the spaceships from their enemies, so why would Grievous know anything about war droids and how to build them. I'm 100% believing i've missed a detail or misunderstood something. If a Star Wars fan could set me straight i'd love to know. Perhaps i'm just a muppet.
