Imagine it's just the same panel, lowered to segment the offer, and you might actually be able to overclock it?!!!!! Also, what's with the AI bullshit and what's going on in a monitor? If that needs game developper input, that could be done on the PC itself. Sounds like a useless piece of hardware like the AGEIA PhysX card once was. Two gimmicks in 3 games, and will never be further updated. And Samsung is putting AI in their monitor as well. Why would you need your monitor to upscale things when your GPU can do it already? But if they come and say "we use AI to detect static elements and dim more precisely to prevent burn in", yeah I would be more keen to listen.

The liking of 24" monitors for competitive gaming you heard was almost certainly for 1080p. For 1440p you want 27" as judging distance becomes very hard at 24". This isn't relevant for all types of games, but for Rocket League a 24" 1440p monitor is practically unusable unless you're right up against it

QD-OLEDs looks indistinguishable from LCD:s at computex due the brightness of the room and lack of a polarizer. Look at all the videos of the WOLED-panels at computex - much deeper blacks even though it's very bright lighting at the show. Please, Samsung, add a polarizer and then buying a QD-OLED is a no-brainer!

am I correct to assume that pixel refresh burn-in prevention measure was turned down to required 16 hours instead of recommended 4 hours?

Why was Inputlag left out at 60hz aswell as 120hz? Rtings tested this panel and it hits 25+ ms at 60hz and 15+ at 120hz. Making it not ideal if you play online shooters with fluctuating FPS with VRR.

I've had the PG27AQDM for just over 1 year and I'm really happy with it - the settings are those you suggest. This latest monitor will certainly be just as good BUT I don't see this "glossy" as a positive thing, in fact the exact opposite. As always thanks for your reviews 🤩

Forgive me but I don't understand, in a competitive online game if you're lucky you can have 20ms latency, 20ms means that your opponent's position will be updated with a frequency of 50fps even if your monitor is capable of managing 1000fps, where is the advantage?

Do you have the one which didn't support firmware updates ? Would be nice to test that feature yourself and see it on video. Though I guess if you have / had one it would probably be from the first batch :/ EDIT: but if you have one from the first batch, maybe you could test if they stay true to their word and replace it for you if you try to RMA it for that specific reason. And put the whole experience with the process into a video.

Hey I just bought this monitor for 420usd in my country. Do you think I can get a better deal for that money?

I mean, I currently have dual 32 inch 60 Hz refresh HD monitor for my set up. Yes it is a 1080P monitor and it's a big 32 inch display so you could see the pixels. Definitely thinking about upgrading to a better monitor and this one was perfect because l did not want to compromise on the size of the display but at the same time I want a good quality display with high refresh rate. And this monitor fits everything 32 inches, 4K, 240 so high refresh rate. But the cherry on top is the fact that it's an OLED which is a big deal because I can't get over the fact that my main monitors for my main gaming PC set up are not sharp. And for other people, maybe they don't really care or can't even tell the difference but I could tell the difference due to the fact that I do daily drive a 15 ProMax, 23 M3 Max MacBook Pro 16in, 24 iPad Pro 13in, and an Ultra Watch. All these have OLED displays and definitely there's a big difference between OLED and a regular non OLED display. But the price might be a little steep, but I'll probably just buy one out of the two monitors and it will be my main monitor out of the 2.

OLED's still have MAJOR problems...all of them, I did my research.

Shame it's an MSI monitor, cause that's gonna be like a 1000€ in Europe.

That 15W PD is atrocious. What is the point of it? The least powerful laptops that are still useful are 45W at least, and you cannot power it from that monitor. It is not as if they are paying your power bill.

About a year ago I bought the AOC 24G2 after I watched your reviews, but I assumed that it could have dead pixels, judging off reviews I read online. Within the first week I saw about 2 or 3 dead pixels so I replaced it... and guess what. The replacement also had 2 dead pixels, but fortunately they weren't in the middle of the monitor, therefore they were not distracting. Luckily they disappeared in about 1 month and a half, but still, as you said, it's a pain in the ass to see this on a brand new tech piece. And even tho it's a budget monitor I wasn't expecting this.

Don't need a 240Hz refresh rate for 27" 1440p / 24" 1080p OLED monitor, perhaps there is 144-165Hz would be better 😄 16:56 This one...Nice 👍👍😄

OLED monitors really have to dip below 500$/euro/£ to go mainstream. Hopefully we are not far now, I have already seen the likes of 34 Philips Evnia OLED for under 650. I recon this year's black friday sales should introduce discounts bringing some of these models down to 500-600 range, cannot wait 😀

24"/smaller monitor require less head turning and eye-movement to see any given thing on the screen. that's why they're king for competitive gaming and ergonomics as well
