My goodness! This filled in so many gaps for me. I did not know that modernization occurred in Korea and they were annexed by Japan during WW2 only in 1910 which makes sense since I knew they had comfort women from Korea and that must've been from countries they had occupied. I only learned more of the Korean occupation in the Webtoon, Whale Star. I am glad the dynasty was able to hold out even after Empress Myeongseong died. Her modernization must've laid the foundation for the author, Induk Pak/Park In-deok, who was born in 1896 to eventually go to schools for girls and have American support through parts of her journey.

This is very interesting❤I love history but I always had a hard time understanding their stories and timelines.. and then I found this channel🤗 My husband is a Korean~ asked him about her and sadly tho.. some koreans don’t like her.. they said she used her position to literally put all of her relatives in power and in the positions in government so nobody will get on her way or in her plans thats why many yangbans are mad at her way back then. Despite all of that~ nobody deserves a gruesome death.

The only thing I have against Satanists is animal or human sacrifice (for those that do)...putting any 'vunerable' sentient being in a state of fear before using one's weak sense of power before killing is just fkd. Yet all of us predatory carnivores (humans, animals, lizards, birds etc..) kill life by mass daily without giving a second thought, especially for us supermarket fed humans. Satanism is just an artistic expression of the horrors of reality of our existence most humans minds are benign of

I'm always wary of ghost stories. It seems like every house over 100 years old in the US has a ghost. It's because there was a craze in the late 19th, early 20th century for spiritualism. People were into things like seances, automatic writing, ghost photography, etc. Apparently there weren't enough ghosts to go around, so they had to make them up.

You say sqander butbthey had thousands of employees that the first couple had to pay themselves unlike now. She didnt have the heart to fire them all so she kept them employeed and paid til she had no money. This is why she became paranoid because so many were dependent of her money and all wanted more more more. Course anytime a woman shows any stress she is considered crazy but she was never crazy. She was the first lady during THE CIvIL WAR. Stress doesnt even beging to explain it.

This video ignores the testimony of Dr. Porter, the surgeon attached to the U.S. cavalry detachment under General Gibbon, who were the first U.S. troops to arrive at the scene after the battle. He personally examined Custer's body and noted two bullet wounds, one in the shoulder that would not have been fatal and one to the temple. After a closer examination he noted a bulge in the back of Custer's skull from which he extracted a bullet. The bullet was of an unusual shape and he identified it as a 41 calibre. He recognized the bullet immediately as it could only have been associated with a new Colt revolver that the Colt company had just recently finished developing. A representative of the company had presented copies of this particular revolver to just three members of the U.S. cavalry expedition; General Crook, Dr. Porter and Lt. Col. George Custer. Dr. Porter was a highly respected physician whose veracity was beyond question. So, while it is not unusual for people to claim fame and notoriety for actions that they were not responsible for, in this particular incidence it is obvious that the woman is either lying or has mistaken Custer for one of the other slain troopers. George Custer committed suicide, plain and simple.

As mentioned, tho there is a cure for tuberculosis, it is NOT dormant and leaves ppl unaffected. It can still do things like rob ppl of their hearing, even if they recover. Those 25% of ppl are in countries that are largely unable to access testing, let alone the months long regimen of antibiotics. And testing is needed, b/c in many cases drug resistant tuberculosis is at the heart of the problem.

Now if ever a memoir ever needed to be discovered, I would give a lot to read about life from his perspective. I can’t even imagine the cruelty he was subjected to, but there was clearly an indomitable spirit tucked away in there. Surviving 25 years of slavery as a little person in the 17th century, just vaguely speculating, leaves one cold with dread. This was a brilliant telling, thank you for the introduction to Sir Jeffrey Hudson.

I lived near where the Yahi tribe once lived and found many cool things in and around the dear creek but the most interesting and unforgettable thing was when myself and a few friends were outside by the creek (we’d go walk around to smoke away from my parents house) and we all began to hear a woman’s voice singing in the distance. At first I thought it was my mom but quickly realized she’d never walk out there especially at night, it was a soft and beautiful song she was singing but the words were not English nor Spanish, it sounded like she was getting closer and closer and more clearer and then we started hearing like rattles and drums I couldn’t even describe it but we were all in complete silence and confused then we started running because it was getting closer and closer but not in a scary or threatening way it was just scary that we couldn’t see them approaching us even though it was late at night maybe 1am or 2 am in the morning the moon was bright and clear and we didn’t have any trouble seeing without a flashlight but we couldn’t understand how a group of people was able to walk up to us without being seen and we all agreed that it sounded Native American and was a beautiful thing to experience but still scary in a sense, I later found out about the Yahi tribe and it all made sense. Had other experience but not as memorable as that night. Also half his brain is in the Chico museum and other half in the Sacramento museum
