What a life she lived, her story would make a great tv series. I don’t think you could squeeze it into a movie.
I am impressed with the level of details/research. Very well done!
Thank you very much!
Dude has such an awesome accent, and narrating voice 😍
Perfection.
Glad you think so, thanks 😊
@@ForgottenLives Your narration sounds so professional and somehow elegant. Cadence is perfect. I should think that comes from practice. Very pleasant.
You do have a nice voice and great long forgotten histories that you bring back to life
The Baron she Married was a descendent of mary shelly

Most welcome! Thank you!
That was fascinating, I always look forward to your broadcasts.
I absolutely love every time you upload 😊
You're the best!!!
Thank you again for another excellent video ! You truly have an inspired talent to choose and to tell the stories of fascinating, yet sometimes relatively unknown, historical figures. Even your voice is charismatic ! Keep up the great work !
Wow, thank you :)
well said and so true!
The actor Richard Dreyfuss is the direct grandson of this man sent to prison
Really??
@@annamossity8879 yes indeed watched a documentary about it and he said yes he was related directly
@@annamossity8879 yes it was a really good documentary too
When the photo of Dreyfus came up I thought 'that's funny, Richard Dreyfus could have played him in a biopic they look very similar!' I had no idea they were actually related, and so closely.
So to clear this up, the actor is NOT the direct grandson of Alfred Dreyfus. He stated that he grew up *thinking* he was, but he’s not. His grandfather is a different man, named Alexander Sussman Dreyfuss (only grandfather named Dreyfuss, of course). His last name is even spelled different.
Yay a new episode! I’m taking a break and snuggling in to watch after a tough week of working ❤️
Hope you enjoy!
Thank you for another well- researched, produced and presented video on yet another fascinating but unknown (to me, 'til now) personality. It's astonishing what (allegedly) transpired back in the day...
My pleasure:)
I had never heard Marguerites, story before she had a hard life for a woman of that time .
I don’t believe she was “devastated” at the death of her father. He protected and indulged
her allowing her to do as she pleased. She certainly couldn’t have made her father proud. She was a user and used her father like her entire life.
That is pretty much how it reads from here. LOL However, I don't know her motives, life or childhood, Women seemed to have very little power back then. Perhaps its where the expression "using her feminine wiles" comes from? She most certainly had these wiles, flitting from man to man whilst being married the whole time. What about that murder? Was there life insurance, or did she simply desire financial autonomy, Did one or both of them have evidence against her in the "Dreyfus affair" She would have been the perfect person to pass government documents.
I marvel at the difference in what "beauty" is considered, from epoch to epoch.
Your content is consistently marvellous 😊
Thank you so much 😀
What a time & place to be alive, if you were wealthy or at least not poverty stricken.
Bless you darling I'm so glad I found you again

No difference in conduct and morals between the French upper and lower classes.
How exciting her life was so Bohemian .Love your visuals and narration .love Joy xx 🇬🇧💯⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️
Thanks very much 😁
Thanks
Thanks for the awesome support 🙌 :)
I hope you don't mind if I make one small correction of your excellent, entertaining and informative video. You mentioned that Marguerite died in Hove and observed that this is on 'The English Riviera'. In fact this term applies to the area around Torquay on the South West Coast, Hove is close to Brighton on the South East coast.
Yes I did really enjoy it thank you.
Happy to hear that, thanks :)
Well, the French president did die a very happy man 😅
Indeed!
Cheers
Aunt Marguerite!
Interesting.
❤
1908😮, me 1974 on this date!!
I.e.: she used what her mum and mother nature gave her to gain profit for herself.
Still the same today. Not much difference between hooking and marriage. It's for the same purpose.
Tale as old as time 😂🤷♂️
She reminds me of the serial killer who killed everyone in her family basically including all of her own children yet one daughter had been spared and it kind of looks like her just saying
👍🎦👍🎦👍🎦👍🎦👍🎦👍🎦👍🎦👍🎦👍🎦
I wouldn't be surprised if she had an affair with the wrong man whose own family wanted to punish her. Or perhaps a jealous ex-lover
Maybe the daughter did it. And she was covering for her kid. If a married couple falls out soon after the birth of a child in that era, and then the mother turns to being a kept woman to get by…inferences can be made. 🤷♂️ whoever wrote the Wikipedia article about her says her account of the 4 robbers was “one female and three males.” Her daughter would have been 17 at the time…
It's always the woman's fault
Look at those lips, be still my heart.
Ikr? Men aren’t supposed to be so beautiful 😆😍
@@uasparts Sure we are.
Please don’t hate me. But something about a lot of the photos of supposedly attractive women from the 1870s to the 1910s left a lot to be desired.
Beauty standards change throughout history. Shocking 🥱
You are such a breath of fresh air in a very crazy world. I love history, because, it's done. And hearing individuals stories are fascinating. Just hearing how people reacted and behaved back then, what was considered everyday, how women actually became popular for being..overly accommodating compared to today, it really is quite fascinating. Mostly thanks to the way you deliver the stories. I'm so glad i found this channel. Most channels i subscribe to the CZcamsr only, you and Scotland's Oddest J i am subscribed to for both. And Erwin saunders pixie hunter. Because i believe in nurturing my inner child aswell 😃💕🦘🇦🇺🦘💕👍.
Thank you for your kind words, I hope you enjoy the videos!!
