I remember Christina. She always looked terribly sad even behind the facade of a smile. She was used by everybody. She would have been far happier and funny if she were born to a middle class family. The day she died was a sad day as i felt she was nowhere near fulfilled in her life, except for having Athena for three short years. I'm not surprised Athena's father dipped into her fortune. The cad would have tried to take the lot if he could.
    Rest In Peace Christina 🙏🕊

Maybe. Not having enough money helps you be hard working and often humble. It helps you see your need for Jesus and His forgiveness unto Salvation. Being rich let's you throw caution to the wind and not see yourself as lacking and not making it to Heaven. That and many of the mega rich (several mentioned in this video) follow a religion that teaches you that you have a second chance at making Heaven after you die. A lie form the pits of Hell.

i worked at LAX AIRPORT in 1970s n 80s and used to see Christina coming through. she was polite, pretty and sadly surrounded by hangers-on who were always asking for something from her, like money and tankers! she would be chugging a small bag of m&m candies and saying to anyone who would listen, this is my only pleasure- they wont leave me alone for a minute (referring to the Russian ex husband and others trying to get her money). I wish she had people who had protected her instead.

Having too much money is as bad as not having enough. You become a target and you really never know who's a true friend, etc. Also you have nothing but time on your hands to dabble in things you shouldn't be dabbling in. Purpose in life gives meaning to life. And being comfortable is more important than excess. Excess leads to demise in most cases. Moderation is the key to life. Christina had too much money and time on her hands and it cost her her life. Like so many others who have more money than they could ever spend, it took a toll on their ability to have a real and meaningful life. Parties, fake friends, plastic surgery, cigarettes, alcohol and drugs, etc. That's not a life. Ask all the people who died as a result of it

Both Onassis and his wife were too involved with their own lives and hired people to take care of their children. The parents sent their kids off to the very best boarding schools he could find. Sigmund Freud warned parents against doing this, because he had his share of clients who as children were put in that predicament. When one does that, they are hiring an employee and employees for the most part are not a 100%.
Also person caring for for children may have their own agenda that may not be conducive with a child's welfare. At the end of his life he realized he made big mistakes. Also he found out precisely the real value of all his wealth. It's said that the happiest people in the world are people who care for their children and have happy marriages.

Being poor doesn’t bring you happiness either

    • @JK-lp6uw
      @JK-lp6uw Před 5 měsíci

Happiness &success come due to ones state of mind. If you think it, believe it, you can be as miserable or as happy as you choose. The poor, poor me attitude is ones downfall. To compare your own life to someone else's is lame & an excuse to fail.
What is success? It's not necessary money, fame, or notoriety. Granted, enough money does definitely make some hardships easier to navigate. I know plenty of extremely wealthy folk as well as extremely poor who make a minimum amount of money. From my experience, the wealthy are miserable & many are rarely satisfied, or never seem to have "enough", it's not about the money all the time. Plenty of people who do not make millions appear to have a more realistic outlook on life and are totally happy with their lives. From my own experience, having money brings bad people into your life. They are users, jealous of what you accomplished, and would love to see you crash & burn. They are not friends. They are evil , suck the energy out of you and any amount of money they can by any means.
Society has put wealth at the top . Thinking it solves all problems. When in fact it can be completely the opposite. I agree that being able to provide the necessity of needs in life without financial struggle is a bonus as well a luxury.
People are as resilient as they choose to be. My happiest days in life are when my family is healthy, have a roof over their head ,show compassion for others and kind. Doing everything for all the right reasons. Ill gotten gains are the devil himself. When the money is gone, so are alit of the folks who never cared in the first place. A lot less problems and misery too. Folks like to flaunt their wealth, some look down on those who have little to none. I find it in bad taste to "show off" just because one is well off and want everyone to know what they are worth or the material things they have , can easily aquire. Integrity is paramount. Health, good manners, loving family and a sense of well being, believing in the almighty, helping those in need is true success. When others speak highly of you , appreciate you for who you are , what you do , how you treat others is a treasure like no other.
I am a compassionate person, I appreciate those who show compassion to others and animals. Money doesn't go with you when you leave this earth.
Society today is focused on wealth in the formation of money , material things, expensive cars, homes, clothes, jewelry, etc. .
I don't feel sorry for the wealthy people that appear to have it so rough. They can help themselves if they choose to. I have sympathy for those who suffer at the hands of controlling people & are burdened simply because they feel they have little/more worth in life than they actually do.
Be kind, genuine, love yourself & others. The meek shall inherit the earth. Praise Jesus, pray for salvation & please God, deliver us from evil.
I got carried away in my comment, bit I'm certain many will get my point. Life is what you make it. We are only human. We are on this earth for a very short time. Those who have faith will forever be successful & rewarded in Jesus name. The none believers can shun me. Doesn't bother me. They are usually the most miserable. peaceTo all .

Athena is married and when she got married she requested that everyone should donate to a charity instead of sending her money or gifts. And yes she was the bread and butter to her dead beat dad until she came of age she did support him and his other family and girlfriend - wife.😡🤬 And the Onassis family was livid but kept a tight grip on the purse too

Rather be unhappy with 500 million dollars than unhappy with nothing....me thinks.[EDIT] But..what a sad tragedy in that family..just like the Kennedy's, there is no end with early deaths.

I did see another video where it mentioned that Christina believed that the Onassis family had inherited the “Kennedy Curse” I really can’t say I believe in curses but that probably fueled her hatred for her stepmom even more. It is sad because it seems like Christina was starting to take the first step towards a more peaceful and happier life by contemplating relocating to Argentina with her daughter.

Their marriage was more like a business deal, not a love affair.
He needed Jackie's elegant style and behavior to smooth out his rough persona, to.make him more acceptable-- and Jackie needed money, protection for herself and her children, and someplace far away from the United States as diversion from thoughts of life with the Kennedys.
The deal worked out satisfactorily for both Jacqueline and Onassis.
Not gold digging, just an smart deal by a smart woman.

This is a really really sad story. To think that the only Onassis I ever heard about was not really an Onassis. All the good people with humanity died tragically. Most likely, foul play by the hands of the horrible power and money hungry people, who sadly rule the world today. The Onassis are all united today, Happy.

Alexander sure was handsome. What a horrible end. His death just destroyed that family and Christina was thrust into the position of suddenly being the heir to the business and family fortune. Who raised little Athena? Poor kid. I do hope she's found some solace in her horses.

You all ever been addicted to Diet Coke? I was, and I have no flipping issue that she sent a plane to the US for some. You can't start your day w out a Diet Coke. If you get stressed, you need a Diet Coke. If you're stoked - Diet Coke. It feels like it clears your head. I truly believe anyone addicted who could make that happen would make it happen. It's incredibly difficult to kick - I haven't had one in years, but I still think about it.
