I believe God never commanded animal sacrifices, and that this practice was simply an interpolation in the Torah by corrupt priests. However, in the epistle of James, the story of Abraham offering Isaac is referenced when talking about how faith and works are necessary before God, since Abraham's faith was tested when God commanded him to offer up his own son. This means this story wasn't an interpolation, as the apostle James basically validates its authenticity by referring to this entire event. The passage in question (Genesis 22) tells us that, when Isaac realized they brought no animal with them, Isaac said, "Here is the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.”" (vss. 7b-8). The passage also says the angel stopped Abraham before he could actually go through with sacrificing Isaac, and Abraham "saw that behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son. Abraham called the name of that place “[YHVH] Will Provide”. As it is said to this day, “On [YHVH]’s mountain, it will be provided.”" (vss. 13-14). How should we as Ebionites understand James' reference to this story and the story as written in Genesis 22 itself?

For some reason, you have clearly misunderstood, that to The Pharisees The Oral Law is inextricably intertwined with The Written Law; The Written Law can not be correctly understood without understanding The Rabbis' Oral Law. So, they condemned everyone, especially Sha'uwl who claimed to be able to understand and teach one without the other.

Where in the Recognitions/Sermons does it talk of free will? I have both and a text search for 'free will' isn't finding anything. "Free" shows up and "will" shows up but not together. If these kinds of questions are answered in there, I'd love to write up where and use that for my own teachings. Hi David. Is there any Bible version that excludes the portions made by the P and D authors, and corrects where the redactor has added/edited his own thoughts? If not, is there at least a version which highlights which parts are from which of the different authors? Is there a way we can look online to see what the AI you mentioned highlighted as the different parts of the Torah that are from the different authors? I'm asking these questions because I want to see if there's any compiled Old Covenant (or "Old Testament") Scriptures that an Ebionite can read without as much worry of corruption. I want to teach my wife the truth of Ebionism and so not confuse her as we read the Scriptures, as I'd have to constantly point out interpolations to her as we go through them in the Bible we have currently. She's come to the truth of Ebionism like me, but she mostly follows my spiritual lead.

I think we need to look into the "whatever you bind on earth shall be bound on heaven" bit. The way you interpreted it would be a disaster. Man could add all kinds of laws, making life difficult, and not realizing some could be in conflict with Yahuwah's laws. For one thing, the Covenant confirming meal of Exodus 24:11 shows that Covenant is signed, sealed and delivered, so to say. It can't be added to, deleted from, or changed. All the laws added after the golden calf sin were temporary, imposed (instead of proposed and accepted), and under the Levitical Priesthood. They were not part of the Covenant, and were like a schoolmaster until our Messiah came and restored the Melchizedek Priesthood, of which he is High Priest. Peter could not add to the Covenant. By the way, neither could Paul, though he added a lot of laws, such as women not to preach nor teach. It turns out, and this is shocking, that although he was right about a lot of things, he was a false apostle. His few deadly lies have made Christianity lawless. Seed as you know refers to plants and animals, including humans. So Satan has seed. The Serpent Seed theory makes a lot of sense. I always have wondered about who is swine and who is not. But since you said the words, " who is worthy, " that helps clarify. It is too easy to over load folks with information. Our youngest son's wife at my last visit asked me to look at the church membership paper and what was my thoughts. The term "father" implies that a child is involved. A father is a parent of a child. In order to create a child (and thus become a father), a seed- producing male has to connect with a (fertile) female... who then becomes impregnated, carries the child in her womb, and then gives birth to the child. I wonder why we don't give this a thought when it comes to "holy" scripture? If we feel it's important to get to know the Father (and the Son), shouldn't we also get to know the Mother? This is all such a confirmation to me, having been trying to teach this for decades. The resistance to these truths is Extreme, because the enemy has laid so many mind fields around the truth, that people, even believers, are so afraid to even approach. Where do you read that Abraham counted is as righteousness to God? Even in hebrew interlinear it does seem, it does seem that it was counted to Abraham. Also verse 7 starts with "The Lord also told". Meaning that it was God that said or did something in the last verse, not Abraham?

Fascinating that the lives of Jesus and the teachings of the Essenes as laid out through the readings of Edgar Cayce parallel so much of this.
