I explain my thoughts on different films meaning. Keep in mind that I don’t treat my thoughts on a film as scripture and I’m open to any discussion. The film explanations are more to open an dialogue on the film then to be some type of absolute of all encompassing interpretation. I also encourage you to delve deeper into the film as I typically only talk about one core theme. The "critic" part of my name is a joke. Im just a dude who talks about movies on the internet.

I miss these two. Dearly.
I think this is the review that killed Siskel.
Nobody was laughing at this. Yet again men making up problems where there are none because they feel guilty about the facts we all know to be true
love the thumbnail 😍🥵
Im sorry but or you are too young or too stupid
These days you can fix the color in premiere pro and other systems. Why not.
"Hello Charlie, i want to play a game."
3:10 So this is the same guy who was almost killed in that car chase scene with Pete. It really makes sense that Fred wanted to see him killed or humiliated by that point in the fantasy.
Great job sumatrizing
It's not a movie about discovering sexuality by being exposed to gay stuff. Its about becoming a killer by being exposed to murders.
she's going to the yacht because she is going to come back home again and try to stop the car crash from happening.
From the second he met him. He said. I’ll take care of you. Tom was loyal 💯
i agree with your explanation.
Rarely do I side with siskel over Roger twice in a row
The one who is in your way is you!
We all know the story. Virginal girl, pure and sweet. Trapped in the body of a swan. She desires freedom, but only true love can break the spell. Her wish is nearly granted in the form of a prince. But before he can declare his love, her lustful twin, the black swan tricks and seduces him. Devastated white swan leaps off a cliff, killing herself, and in death finds freedom. I thought it is dancers story. But story of every human being.
How could director think a story like that and tell that story perfectly?
The Real Ending happened in Italy. Bada Bing !😎
Nobody is talking about Little Jimmy? 😎
This sounds legit af
the man had the chance to leave but chose to stay. What were his desires? give a lonely man a good wife, and he will settle. lmao. The woman turning into a turtle again does not even matter. The man was happy living his life with his family even though he let some things to happen
It's a psychological thriller about Diane's character. She is deeply sad, i think she has become a whore in reality and in drugs, instead of an actress, and her passion for Camilla was sth to keep her alive, out of disaster, but in the end there was no way out. Unlucky lives. Haunting, masterpiece. And Naomi, extraordinary actress here.
Moral of the story If you find a giant red turtle Keep it captive
There were loads of times that happened.
“English or spanish” the note says☠️
I love that movie
I always thought John could ”tune” the city into a new Earth so they would be fine. Or perhaps the city used to be our planet but the aliens tuned it into a city, so John wouldn’t make a new Earth but simply restore it.
Ахуеть, видеокарта которая дороже 2 почек может потянуть игры сильнее, чем видюхи второго поколения
If you grew up in this time, in this place, then you KNOW that the music is 100% spot-on authentic!
Just confusing , I liked twin peaks When I was a kid
We Are the Night, Suck, The Shed, The Night Flier, Jakob's Wife, Let the Wrong One In, Byzantium, The Vampire Next Door (2024), Near Dark, The Lost Boys, Fright Night 1985, Blade 1, Blade 2, Cronos and Only Lovers Left Alive are good vampire films!!!
Nope. He knew it was a sex shop. He bought it, had a breakdown, and had sex with it. The doll is Lisa. That's why they both have a messed-up eye. And, that's why he calls Lisa Anomalisa, the name of a Japanese goddess. He then gave the doll to his son, who he doesn't like, still full of his own jizz.
❤
This Films looks Good and I always love Paul Schrader Screenplays. What's with all the negative reviews? People want endless Explosions and Mountain Dew product placement rather than a Film with a story, so I take people's opinions with a grain of salt. Maybe the film was too accurate and true and that's why it was criticized. This is like 2020's America and the Film predicted where things would go. 😨🤯
A true masterpiece, its a crime deniro didn't get an Oscar in that performance
Ashley Judd and Lynn Collin’s are so fuckin bad lol
I was blessed to have played Ray the intruder in both films and also Authenticity Consult on both films working with Jo, Tom, Art (ish) DOP to help creative a certain Authenticity to the projects. Jo and Tom put a lot of love and trust into me and helped launch my career as a Consultant in films. I was 18 months clean and sober when i started working with her. Im forever grateful to her for helping me launch my career. J x
anyone come here after watching the movie and not understanding a single thing
Pegasus SLAUGHTERED Kaiba when he said "and not yugi boy for the umpteenth time" 🤣
opium induced dream...thats the finale
i could not feel anything because i was confused the whole time. about the narratives and the meanings behind the film.
The show ends with Tom and his wife riding away in a car together, wtf are you talking about?
Ok but why in the end does he say let them out there read my mind?
No way people find this funny. It’s genuinely horrofic
Wait.. so Greg is Tom's new wife?? 😅
The film is more like The Lathe Of Heaven.
He actually did it…. Lawyer covered up for him and money makes things happen. It’s simple
How do you explain that in one scene the LE representative said they met 150 years ago?
Just watched the movie for the second time in 20 years. I was interested in hearing someone/anyone's take on the meaning of the movie. I had to turn this video off after about 90 seconds because I feel the explanation of the wife's fantasy confession and the husband's subsequent feelings about it, is so off base, it's almost outside the realm artistic ambiguity. The wife is a bad person trying to be good. The husband is a good person that struggles to be bad. This is not a story about a wife who opened up to a husband, but he's too uptight and close minded to even have a conversation about their sex life. She is a bad person who WOULD HAVE had an affair with the naval officer. She told him she would have. Not only that, she would have left her husband AND daughter. Then, she's pissed off that he doesn't share some evil fantasy of his own that he can share to alleviate her guilt. She was extremely close to sleeping with the older guy that she dances with in the beginning, as well. You can say that this is a story about a man's attempts at self-discovery, but to frame this story as an uptight man trying to come to grips with his very sexual, yet honest wife, doesn't give us enough common footing to further discuss.
a great movie
