The little girl is real... As real as she can be since that whole story is being written by the main character anyways. But when Monika and (Adrien Brody's character -forgot the name) are driving off at the end Monika looks in the back seat at someone. And even though it doesn't show the girl, when they drive by the camera you can see the top of a head just shove the window line.
@@amberv9424 I did catch that when Monica turned around and looked in the back seat. But, we weren't shown what she turned around for - I'm sure all of us thought it was the little girl back there. I didn't notice the partial view of her head.

It was really bugging me about Monika's little girl, wondering about the validity of her existence. We're not supposed to know the answer to that?
