When I saw that scene in the cinema, I found it to be one of the happiest and uplifting moments in the movie. That guy was a good-guy.
BTW the Fargo show is pretty great. Also meant to say that Mannix thought his new job would be too easy not that his current one was. His job was hard but the “right” thing to do (something he finds out in the end). As is all righteous endeavors in religious tales. This is why you proof read your scripts.

Your comments, your theory, to me, is okay. Although I'm mostly guided by visuals, my judgment might be off do to your editing. Regarding the movie, I didn't like it at first but now it's become my favorite go to for a little relief from regular everyday life, via the Coen brothers.
Can't comment much because pretty much everything you mentioned flew right over my head when I was watching it. All I got from the film was that has to be a deeper meaning that I didn't understand so here I am lol

The interesting thing for me is the hail Caesar film seems to be copying the robe where a violent brutal centurion Who crucified Christ has a c Change and becomes a true believer.

I agree! Except that I put it closer to their best than worst. Even if one doesn't embrace the themes or underlying message, it's very entertaining.

I watched the film in theaters with an audience that would make sweet baby inc blush. Black, white, young, old… not one person laughed.

I don't agree or disagree because I refuse to look at movies that way. I thought it was great, my wife hated it.

Probably the biggest waste of an all-star cast in a crappy, flat forgettable story with bad jokes sprinkled all over.
Whilst I appreciate opinion and jokes are subjective, the story was anything but flat.
