That Starship Troopers jab was a complete miss lmao. Also Ebert is still a fantastic critic despite some of his flaws. He opened up a generation to the profession in a time where it was in heavy decline. No bully.
I got to know Roger Ebert when I lived in Chicago. He was a great person. He was a gentleman. And he could actually admit when he was wrong; at least he did to me. :-)

Missed a fairly recent one but saw most of them. Even Spetters. Showgirls is the most entertaining horrifically bad movie plus it has the worst sex in a pool scene in movie history😂😂

He was very prudish when it came to displays of sexuality and the intertwining of it with violence. He also booed when Lynch won the Cannes top prize.
