I've been in Raleigh for 25 years and I have never felt or heard that we have excessive rain. It feels incredibly normal amount. If anything, I wish we had more since my grass dies almost every summer due to heat.

I think companies are waiting to see what happens in the gubernatorial election this fall. Because that will determine whether NC continues to grow and modernize, or if it will revert backwards and become another Mississippi.

Fuquay Varina just broke ground in the building of its new 800,000 sq ft. Gold Leaf shopping center. Target is going to be one of the major retailers there.

Check out Wendell Falls. I moved here from Cary, NC because everything is new and more affordable.

The drone view at 1 minute 57 seconds in the video of the tract home neighborhood completely cleared of forest parkland put tears in my eyes! What an ugly tragic scene! While I understand the need for more housing in a growing community, did they really need to clear-cut the entire site of every tree and plant thousands of identical homes to bake in the sun? How about some landscaping, open space, tree buffers, and creative architecture? This scene would scare most people out of the city of Apex!

Also , here you can't find Ranch Style homes , with vault ceilings and wood bins . Those start in 1M. RIDICULOUS!!! So , I am thinking to wait until the REal State business scratchts! Only that way we can buy a house at least from 700K TO 800K WITH all that features !!~

I was born and raised in the western piedmont. It was a great place to live up until last decade. T here’s plenty of work in charlotte,Raleigh,the triad but unless you’re a white collar worker pay ain’t for shit. All the good companies are gone like Schltz/Strohs And Milker brewery. I don’t know if Westinghouse still has work never hear about them anymore. RJR isn’t the company it was. People made a lot more money there back in the 80’s than now. The textile mills packed up and went away. Anyone working for the state is not allowed to have a union so NC has the lowest labor rates in the country. Rent in small towns has blown way out of proportion. People are going to have to leave this state hell can’t afford it. It’s pretty, our mountains, our beaches, wouldn’t want to live anywhere else,but I’ve made mine and I made it out of state.

Yeah, Cary was our #1 but Apex was also really nice. Honestly the Triangle area has many hidden gems.

I looked at houses in Apex and made an offer and got declined. I was buying a house in 2021 when bidding wars were insane. It took 14 offers before I finally got a house. Apex is nice though.

A 3500 soft home on a dern .1 of an acre? Heck no! But…it is what it is. The tech money from the west coast is moving in and like you said in the beginning of your video Raleigh real estate is a bargain to them, and folks moving in from up north, etc…I’m betting that like you said the suburbs are going to blow up. Heck, Rocky Mount, Chatham county, etc are all about to explode.

I truly hate all the people moving into areas of the south ruining it I wasn’t born in Raleigh but I grew up here and it’s just not the same anymore.

I moved to nc from ma cuz my son moved here few years ago.I was told cost of living was better, seems like the week before I moved everything went up and now my cost of living is higher than if I stayed in ma. I moved here cuz my son and daughter inlaw moved here and love it. The bugs are relentless deep woods off worked like a charm in ma it don’t help at all in nc! I’m lonely and Rockingham County is ugly. I found people in nc don’t respect personal space or they talk to you 50 feet away then wonder why I can’t hear them 🤦🏾‍♀️ I actually enjoyed the bugs and looking at them and identifying them. I do not like the tics,horseflies, yellow flies, mosquitoes- no bug spray works on them! I was so excited when a cicada literally walked in my house when I held the door open- like he was coming over for tea 😂. He let me hold him and pet him while I figured out what he was. I tried to give him some crumbs and some water but he didn’t want it. I put him back out side checked the next day and the poor thing died I thought they live til end of summer sad 😞

Pretty much dead on except that Apex Wings is a dive bar, food is terrible and so is the atmosphere.

I can afford a house at 350k or less, can I get one in any city in raleigh metro in condition of the city should not far away from raleigh more than 30 min driving?

I see that more and more new construction houses in the Montvale area and other luxury neighborhoods are for sale right now. These are homes that were bought in 2021-2022. Why do people sale? Is it Pandemic related (back to the office and no more WFH), mortgage related, or just wanting to take a 50-100% appreciation on the home and downsize?

Also I love a walkable city. I want to walk. (Mainly because I wanna Drop the weight) the more times I can ditch the whip, the better. I feel better that nobody is going to take my whip while I’m on the 3rd floor.

I actually came from California & had been here for a year. If folks leave, the rent drops. Thats what we want. Bring back $700 rent & $1100 Mortgages.

I love this state. I’ve always lived in cold cold all my life. And I am one of the fortunate ones who gets to leave June through September so I don’t have to experience the humidity. The rest of the year is fantastic.

Pros and cons everywhere

It is almost impossible for younger people to find starter homes. No one is even building them anymore. $300,000 for a condo or townhome is not im most people's price range. Same with older couples wishing to downsize. No smaller homes available or reasonably priced.

With over population supply is low and with government creating inflation by printing and borrowing money prices will go higjer. Thats the plan by the rich folks ,wake up.

I'm in west Raliegh, own a home in older neighborhood. Getting like inside the belt line. They buy a house for location + lot size and knock it down to put a mini mansion on its site. House next to me sold to developer to do that. Can't wait the construction to start😏

OK. Lessons learned, I have been studying Houston Texas for quite some time. Their prices went through the roof and now they are starting to fall. everyone who understands real estate knows what’s happening in the state of Florida. Taxes and insurance global warming recession politics. We are kind of living in a period of uncertainty. While all of this is going on the cost of housing in Raleigh continues to rise. I’m gonna wait a little while longer..

The costs of building is increasing, rent is increasing, and hightech industry wages are increasing, and home price will increase too.

Odd they have multiple offices here already

Wish they would leave Wake and JOCO. Was a great place pre 2018 and Apple, Amazon, and Meta ruined it. It's not the traffic, no one knows how to drive, there is zero reason for the traffic. People cant merge or use off ramps. It's a little city, that is it's charm. We don't have the infrastructure for the boom.

This is not exactly accurate. Now Apple will partner with OpenAI so they will require less AI employees.
