Raleigh is close enough to Asheville. I'd say people who love snow can move to Raleigh and visit Asheville for skiing/snowboarding.
Very true!
Great information ! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
I've been in Raleigh for 25 years and I have never felt or heard that we have excessive rain. It feels incredibly normal amount. If anything, I wish we had more since my grass dies almost every summer due to heat.
Very accurate on all mentioned topics. I love Raleigh!!
Your videos are very informative. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
I used to want to live in Raleigh but as I got older, it appealed to me less and less. The primary reason was the traffic. I settled in Wilson, which is 40 miles east of Raleigh. It is a city of about 50k people. Big enough for most everything I want or need but not too big to make getting around difficult. It’s home now.
Raleigh was great in the 90s but not anymore. The infrastructure is struggling to keep up with the growth and it's becoming way too corporate for me.
Pre north hills? Pre opening up Fayetteville street? Pre Hillsborough Street getting better sidewalks, etc? Come on.
Thank you for this video. I'm from DC and have accepted a new job in Raleigh. The problem is I can't drive! 🤦🏾♂️ So, I guess I'll have to face my fears and anxiety and learn how to drive ASAP! 😳
Depending on where your job is there are a couple areas where you could get by such as DT Raleigh, West Raleigh near NCSU, North Hills, or Downtown Durham area. But yes, probably a good idea for to learn
Thanks for the info! May I ask, what area is showing in the background at the 8:30 time stamp? Thanks!
That is Bedford! One of our absolute favorite areas. Let us know if you need more info
@@LivinginRaleighTV thanks! Just looked it up on the map. Not too far from us!
Can you discuss the NAR settlement please? Pros and cons for buyer, seller and agent. Thank you!
Yes, not much is really changing in NC because we’ve already had buyer agency agreements in place. However, buyers may not be allowed to view homes with an agent without a signed agreement should the settlement go through. Sellers will decide what they want to offer to the buyer agent and they are not required to do so. This has never been a requirement in NC, and has always been driven by the market conditions, so not much is changing there, other than it won’t be displayed in the MLS. You will likely see agents who don’t want to work hard for their clients and do the bare minimum leave the industry, which would be a good thing.
Raleigh is not bad but I plan to move to Asheville, cooler weather is what I love.
Hello! Because of you I am planning on moving to Raleigh this year. By any chance do you offer help with Rentals?
Hi! That’s great to hear. Call or email us and we can help. We typically just help with sales, but we do have several great resources for renters as well.
In case I cannot drive, can I rely 100% on Uber or Lyft?
I would not recommend.
Yes, but it would be challenging. It would be beneficial to move to an area that has all the amenities nearby such as North Hills, Downtown Raleigh, Village District, etc.
I wouldn't recommend it unless you have too, and public transportation is not good. You would have to live near shopping and restaurants.
I’m a florida native wanting to move near the Raleigh area and this video could have very well been about florida 😅 I’m planning to visit at the end of the year to get a feel for the smaller towns outside of Raleigh because I want to get away from traffic and overcrowded scene of Orlando. The fact that Raleigh is growing scares me, I’m tired of growth and I’m sick of tourists.
We do have growth but we don’t have many tourists so it may not be as bad as you think. Definitely nothing like Miami, Orlando, Tampa. Feel free to reach out when you’re ready, we’d love to help you with your trip
@@LivinginRaleighTV Thank you. Your videos have been very helpful btw. It stinks that everyone else is considering moving to the Raleigh area
I’m a native North Carolinian and can attest to how parts of Raleigh are no longer recognizable. Even the smaller towns are not so small anymore with the tremendous outgrowth we’ve seen here in the past couple of decades.
Holly Springs is a better value
