I carried a P229 SAS with DAK trigger and is a fantastic gun, the SAS is anti snag, no rail, all the edges are rounded the only downside back then was find the perfect holster, like 10 years ago Raven concealment made one for me under special order but they dont do special orders anymore, another downside is the weight compared with a polymer gun, it is heavier but is a solid gun also the 40S&W can be converted to 357Sig just swapping the barrel the 357 Sig works with the same magazine, I found this video in 2022 idk if the 229SAS still in production, if it does is a solid carry gun go for it.
