- We have seen some crazy win streaks over the years. We already made a video on the 27 game win streak by the Miami Heat. When Golden State set the record for the most wins in a season they started 24-0, but the craziest win streak in NBA history belongs to the Houston Rockets in 2008 when they won 22 games in a row. Today we look back at the 2007-2008 Houston Rockets led by Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming.

Such a weird CZcams style. The host sounds like he split himself into 3 people so that they can all commentate on the same topic and I love it
Battier’s defense was crazy. He once put his hand in front of KD’s face on a shot and a radio announcer said “You couldn’t pass a credit card through that defense” 💀
Out of all the Miami Heat role players on those Finals teams, he was by far the most frustrating to watch in terms of his defense and all the little annoying things he did lol
Dude never watched film either! He said himself he rarely cared about film; he wanted numbers on how and where every player shot the ball, and just worked his butt off in practice to force players into their least favorable shots.
Although Yao Ming never won a championship ring during his playing days, he was still the best Asian player in NBA history.
Ok?? 💀💀
There aren’t many Asians that was in the NBA 😭
No shit Sherlock
Thanks for telling me this, I had no idea.
Lmao considering there has only been like 6 Asian players, and the fact that Yao was specifically bred by China to be a basketball player that's not really saying much
I went to a Rockets game during this streak, the crowd was just on another level still my favorite game I’ve ever been to
Tracy McGrady made a lot of people’s childhood with his play on the court.
The greatest moment in NBA regular season history was him dropping 13 points in just 35 second to bring the Rockets to a comeback victory against the Spurs.
2020-23 Miami Heat gotta be up there not bc they were expected to win but bc they showed up to Finals as a 5/8 seed and made ECF inbetween. Jimmy Buckets and Bam has been great in playoffs
Beating the Bucks and the Celtics, who were both heavy favorites, and getting a game off Denver really shows how good and strong that team was during the playoffs.
(Sorry Knicks, ya'll were good last year but that's it haha)
Growing up in Houston my schools growth chart in the nurse was a Yao Ming measured standee I remeber hearing about the streak at school it’s awesome to finally se these rockets get some love on the site
I was there for this streak the lost in 7 games to the lakers. And let me tell you this team was a couple bad breaks from a few chips. Yao was unstoppable at a certain point and t mac was magic. Also with key role players like Battier and Juan Howard this team was a beast.
boy's, love the retrospective vids keep em coming🙏🏼
I wait for this every Monday and Friday
Great Video as a Rockets fan I wish McGrady got a ring he always had my respect because he was one of the only players that wouldn't be afraid to play hard vs kobe
those 2000's rocket ship jerseys were kinda fire
but seriously you're the fifth seed that gets a 22 win streak brings you to the first seed?!?! thats wild!
Waiting for 1995 magic and the 2008 new orleans hornets
When Yao was healthy, he was the best Center in the league. Not even Shaq could deal with him. And T-Mac was probably the best 3 aside from LeBron in the early-mid 2000s. That duo could have won a chip with health. T-Mac and Grant Hill (ironically, former teammates!) are two of the guys who just got robbed of several of their prime years by their bs health issues. T-Mac was at least mostly healthy until 28.
Props for adding scola to the thumbnail. He was underrated
Y’all forgot to mention how Rafer Alston went Skip to My Lou on Sasha Vujacic at the end of that Lakers game lol
To be fair, he’s more well known for his time in And1 than his NBA career
@@ABigBowlOfChips fact 💯
I’m sure others recommended this team too but thanks for this video…rockets fans still talk about this season, it was magical
You guys are the highlight of my lunch break twice a week
Tracy and Yao aren’t ‘what ifs’ in my opinion, more like ‘if onlys’
Thanks for showing the tmac Yao rockets some love
I love you guys, please never stop doing videos
yall go CRAZY for "town business" every time...... we will collab one day
Y’all should do the 16-17 Miami Heat next video went 11-31 to 31-11 mini 13 game win streak mid season
I know it was a little bit before your time but if you guys really are big NBA fans you should know who Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley are. They were absolutely not peanuts at the time this trade was made. In the three years before this trade, Francis made the all star team all three years with 21.6 pts, 7.0 reb, 6.4 ast, 21 pts, 6.2 reb, 6.2 ast and 16.6 pts, 5.5 reb and 6.2 ast.
Mobley wasn’t peanuts either. In those same years he put up 21.7, 4.1, 2.5 and 17.5, 4.2, 2.8 and 15.8, 4.5, 3.2. And he hit 39% of his 3’s on 5 attempts during this time period.
So neither of them was T-Mac but Mobley was a very good 3 point shooter and solid overall player and defender and Francis was a 3 time reigning all star.
Kelvin "Kat-oh" LMAO. We know it's "Kay-toh" but that was great
I guess Kelvin Cato was before your Blazer fandom.
Fun fact i learned just right now. Luis scola was a professional for 26 years, from the years 1995-2021
Meaning his career started before multiple all nba players were even born.
This dude was playing before devin booker eas born and played untill bookers 6th season.
And in that timespan he basically NEVER missed a tournament for Argentina too.
People forget the 2009 rockets lost to the lakers the nba champs that year in game 7 of the second round and Yao Ming and Tmac were both out with injury if they played they might have won it all
Yea, they are one of the best teams to never win a championship. Along with the 2018 Rockets.
Can you imagine if t-mac and Yao ming was healthy , that might have been the greatest black and Asian duo since jackie chan and chris tucker.
Go Kings!!!
As someone who's a fan of an Eastern Confernce team, have fun in the west! 👋
Idk how to explain it but T-Mac just looked the coolest hooping
#ProDucks Aaron Brooks 😤💪🏽💯
Anyone else girate to that opening theme?
Why has the video 3000 clicks yet 15k likes 💀
The disrespect for Steve Francis, who was an all star 3 straight seasons before being traded, & Cuttino Mobley is wild. Say your age without saying your age 🤣🤣 "Steve Francis & Cuttino Mobley were peanuts in the trade for TMac".
We wouldnt won the chip if Yao and T MAC were healthy
7:32 Straight up looks like nba2k lmao. The way KG walks there is like an NPC.
Wey nevera seen another player like Luis scola i'm the nba
the yao-mcgrady rockets are the sad and depressing version of the shaq-kobe lakers
Cutino Mobleys face realizing it's all a business.
Such a tragedy Tracy McGrady never had a real chance to compete.
if yao didn't get injured 09 theres a good chance they knock out the Lakers and yao woulda cooked dwight in the finals
You can tell these guys are young.. TRACY DID NOT GET TRADED FOR PEANUTS! 😂😂 Francis was an all star and I heard so much about how good Mobley was over the years. And the pronunciation of Cato’s name made me salty lol ok carry on
Pacers video pleeeeeeease
2009 Rockets win the title if yao and mac are healthy
Can the 08-09 Nuggets get a video? That team should've won a ring if it wasn't for Kobe and the Lakers
When you upload it makes my day
How you guys feel about Scoot so far?
Yoa Ming would get cooked chef sticky style in today's league
he would? how?
Nah. The guy had finesse and a true jumpshot while still being built like a tank. He was a modern center superstar that got overplayed by China
@@juliansmith4153 you just told me you don't understand modern basketball without telling me you don't understand modern basketball. Go back to 2006 with this nonsense take
@@nvm9040 by being the most immobile player of the past 20 years in a league where mobility is at an all time premium
@@coolnes950 sry for saying that
But Ralph Samson,Manute Bol,Shawn Bradley, and Gheorghe Mureșan were same height or taller and they were more immobile and only one of those guys had more skills offensively then just lobs and put backs
Yao had game compared to those guys
“Darryl gets it”. I don’t think harden does😅😅
Your my favourite channel
Shouldve done the 09 team that took Kobe to 7
43K 4mo 60.6K subs
*they didn't make it out of the first round because of injuries. Weird that you dismiss how good they were. Healthy that team wins it all that year.
"Mid" team. That's funny.
Rockets havent been really good since Hakeem James Harden doesnt really count imo
20th like 28th view 2nd comment
How do you make a video on how the NBA should. Bring back divisions but then criticize them not having home court advantage
They never said that it should go back to how it was just that divisions should mean something
