ANT just has that IT factor. It’s impossible to measure, see, or put in a statistic, but you know someone has it when you see it.
Players like Luka, Jalen Brunson, and Anthony Edwards. These are some of the players that have that IT factor.
He has it more than the former two you mentioned. Again it’s something that can’t exactly be measured or even fully comprehended for that matter but whenever I watch him he has that air about him that separates him from any one else on that court with him
That alpha leader win by any means necessary not fucking around type of air about him. Good example would be that play in Game 1 vs Denver when he blocked MPJ and KAT dunked it on the other end, camera pans over to him and he literally looks like he’s about to murder with his demeanor. Idk I’m rambling but maybe this is what the old heads seen in Jordan that I didn’t really understand until now

I will say that the emergence of Anthony Edwards into a superstar and Victor Wembamyama winning ROTY in the same season probably puts Zion Williamson out of "face of the league" conversations at least for right now; this was Zion's best season so far and he still couldn't make the playoffs. When Ja comes back next season that'll be another player that has currently eclipsed him, Zion will still be an amazing player but currently he's achieving the least out of his contemporaries.

Ant has it all - the drive, the winning mentality, the ability to elevate his teammates, his consistency, and his ability to stay healthy despite his physical play - plus he is very charismatic and charming. He absolutely could be tge face of the league if he continually plays this well.
And as a NBA fan, I am thrilled.
Long story short: Ant is him.
I really thought next season would be his time to shine but he already destroyed expectations in this exceptional current playoff run. Next season MVP!
My favorite part is him bringing his teammates up with him. Especially KAT and Gobert who have had lots of both fair and unfair criticism against them throughout their careers

I think if Ja wasn't injured that the Grizzlies would be in the playoffs for sure right now. I will say the one "good thing" about Ja's absence is that the Grizzlies will probably get a high draft pick next season and can use that as leverage to get a better piece since the Grizzlies have a good foundation, it just fell off without Ja on the court.

Ant man has the coolest nickname. He's short and STRONG like an ant. Ants are powerful, determined, and they trust their team. Not to mention his name.
Ants actually tend to be more of a selfless cog in a machine that does whatever role they were literally born to do until the end; Anthony Edwards strikes me as being a little more than that.

As a longtime Wolves fan, im just happy the Wolves and Ant are finally getting tbe attention they've deserved all year.
This is something I told a bunch of people a couple of years ago. That the days of "1 or 2 faces of the NBA" is over. The league is so talented with franchise players and talented teams you can't just have 1. There is 6 right now in the playoffs. The given being Ant, Brunson, Luka, SGA, Joker, Tyrese. And there is like 4 not in the playoffs Giannis and Paolo were but got eliminated, we all know wemby is legit, and all jokes aside ja morant is legit too. It's truly an exciting time to be watching basketball that's for sure
Edwards had 4 great games and somehow that is enough to be the face od the league when Luka had at least 65 great games like that but yeah Americans finnaly had one black American that played a few great games, dunked on some guys and had SWAG doing it and that is why he is the nex face od the leauge. I predict ANT will avrage 26 5 and 5 with some D helped by a great Defensive team and win MVP while Luka will avrage 36point triple double and finnish 4th or 3rd

I hadn't followed basketball closely for years after D Rose got injured multiple times and Jimmy Butler got traded from the Bulls. It hurt way too much after what could have been.
Then in 2022 I randomly see Ant's dunk over Yuta Watanabe, AS A ROOKIE, and immediately decide I need to follow this guy - he's gonna be something special.
Two years later I'm still a Bulls fan at heart but I've watched almost every Wolves game that I can since then (thanks League Pass). And I'd say I'm a bigger Ant Man fan than I am of any one team. And it feels good 😎

Wolves have 8 players in the top 50 for defensive win shares. 5 in the top 20. Gobert at 1, Ant at 4. They're an all-time team, defensively.
I think there's another guy who can also become the face of the nba, SGA. These two dudes have great post feetwork (Shaq would say), they thrive in the mid range, both play defense. And have a little rivalry going on themselves, I'd like to see those two guys face off in the western finals.
We need to chill about Anthony Edwards. He hasn’t DONE anything. If he wins a championship, we can discuss it, but all I see out of the prospective “face(s) of the league” are guys who haven’t been able to do anything. It’s honestly quite silly, especially when we have a guy who’s 1) young 2) only behind Steph in jersey sales, and 3) has a phenomenal track record in the postseason.

Luka is only 3 years older but I'll admit as a Mavs fan that ANT makes more sense since Luka is just too quiet and at times awkward when he's not on the court. He gives plain interviews, barely does any advertisements/commercials, and just plays basketball. Jokic is the same, but even he bothers doing commercials with solid acting.
