    1) jump right back to refined carbohydrates, instead of increasing slowly carbs in form of more leafy greens, fruits, starchy vegetables.
    2) jumping on and off of carbs, instead of being consistent in your carb intake
    3) going back to carbs and fat, not considering protein intake so much. 1.2-1.6 grams of Protein per kg of weight
    4) going back to saturated fats and that way not giving room for omega 3. So making sure to also continue eating salmon etc for omega 3, when going back to carbs
    5) too high fat intake.

Carb binging......ya that was me . Made me terribly sick and then it was hard to get back to low carb. 🙄
I'm more choosy about my carbs now. More fruits and the occasional root vegetable.
    Great advice

My belly bloats when I eat cheat. So back to no cheating/carbs! Making salads for the week and eggs for a snack.

For some, gluten sensitivity and dairy sensitivity can be a factor with gut health issues. I'm assuming you didn't jump for potatos and went for foods like bread?

Went keto for a year, lost 35lb gain 2 stents, start whole food plant base diet no fat what so ever including nuts and oils ate quite a bit carbs and lost 15 lb and A1C went down to 5.5 and LDL down to below 70. As long as you don’t eat any fats you can eat a lot carbs without increasing your blood sugar and can loose weight.Keto almost kill me.

Interesting! Yes some people do really well on keto short term, then struggle to go the other way. Glad you're doing well!

I wonder if the person had a lab work done including a CAC prior to engaging into a ketogenic diet. 🤔

I appreciate this info. Considering going low carb; but have been nervous I can never go back. I don't mean junk food, I mean to say I will never have a sandwich again.

You most certainly can go back! Junk food can stay away, I think that's a given for all of us right? :-)

I've been Keto for 3 years and still doing well.
I'd like to add some beans to my diet but I'm hesitant.

@@FatForWeightLoss The thing for me personally that keeps me sort of "quasi-keto" throughout the year is the indefinite shelf life of stuff like Rice/Beans.
I don't know if that is where the OP is coming from, but I bet its a concern given possible shortages on this or that including meat/produce.
I have been testing out something I call "Accidental Keto", which basically means I have swapped out bread for tortillas, then those for low carb etc. Quite a few things with their low carb cousins. But still have rice & so on.
I alternate day fast, and on the feeding days I don't monitor my carb content or etc so much as moderate the meals to a standard, which I otherwise pick at will from. I found that in any given week, I end up eating a "keto day" as a side effect of the ADF.
Fasting+Eating day under 48g+Fasting etc. So with minimal effort I end up 3-4 days under the ketosis threshold for me. (I have a mercifully high one)
I won't know how many of those days/weeks where like this in a meaningful sense without a longer record and then going back, but its a interesting side effect. The purpose was not to eat Keto per se, as I said I still have a stock of rice and beans.
This strategy probably wouldn't work or be palatable for a lot of people, but I was doing ADF anyway and I wanted to increase choosiness of the items I DID eat including getting rid of most wheat. (Ramen is the only lingering item at this point, as rice noodle is fairly expensive vs ramen.)
And I did pretty well on Keto back when so I know lowering carbs is the way to go, plus can still pack those calories in because of the cal density of meat & fats. I don't eat refined sugars, prepackaged meals or very much fruit at this time.

I gained 60 lbs after eating a tiny bit of carbs each day for 4 months then could not shed an ounce eating keto and intermittent fasting.. boo hoo. Plus my A1C shots up to 7.1 ..very sad .. I’m still doing keto regardless ♥️♥️

@@FatForWeightLoss I went into peri menopause 4 years ago. When I was low carb before peri I lost 100lbs. It was awesome the. All of a sudden I stopped losing started gaining. Last winter I got sick. I was tired ALL the time. I may have had Covid but I started hibernating like a bear and eating carbs at night. That was the beginning of my downfall lol. I started intermittent fasting around feb and still haven’t lost but my doctor put me on more metformin which didn’t do anything. I started tweeking what I did. Longer fasting and more exercise , dropping my metformin. now I’m noticing my blood glucose is going down down so I dropped a glipizide ( I took tiny dose with each meal 2 meals a day} I’m taking a one half now with dinner.. also I noticed My blood glucose is higher in fasted state . Once I eat my blood glucose drops about another 20 points after an hour after eating.. very weird but I think my insulin resistance may be on the mend finally or my hormones are balancing out. Don’t have a clue but will persist heheh
