    I’ve been on keto now for 3 years. I find now if I eat too much carbs or more than a few alcoholic drinks I feel so ill for a day or so. I call it carb hangover . As such I find now my body only wants good quality meats, leafy green veg a bit of dairy, small amounts of cheese and heavy cream in the bullet proof coffee. Funny thing is after a life of high range cholesterol (8,9) it dropped to 3.2 on keto.

    Amazing video. Thank you. Please shed some light on why people were slim in the 60s and 70s without keto

    Aaron - loved the video!! You give so many options so this way of eating does not feel restrictive. That's also my own experience of eating to induce ketosis for over 3 years. I am down 60 pounds and feeling light, healthy, strong and clear-headed. Thank you so much for your wisdom and guidance!

    I would add not being expansive enough with your keto menu, start by learning to make keto versions of your favourite foods for me Pizza, Pancakes, Chocolate bars, and curry to name a few.

    I've been on keto for 2 years so far and I'm still at it. I do eat carbs on meetings or when I get invited to restaurants. Once you reverse diabetes you can eat carbs fine, unless you eat them heavily for weeks you won't get the symptons back that fast. It's even easier when you just fast the day after. Some people don't even do keto but just do 48 hour fasting like Cole to stay in ketosis while eating some carbs. After a year of keto I bumped my carb limit to 50g from 20g because I'm much more active than before so I actually burn the carbs, that's also important.
    Also I always choose the low carb option, there's pretty much always a meal on restaurants or fast food places that's at the very least dirty keto. The important thing is to skip sugary sauces and sugary drinks. Also some desserts are also kind of low carb like jelly or jelly cakes that are popular in my country so I can still celebrate and have guests that don't eat "weird" low carb food.

      Very true Dante! It's good to understand your carb threshold, and it only comes with being a little consistent. Great work!

    Thankyou so much for this video. I had been doing keto for two years and lost 60lbs. Covid hit and I just kinda fell off the keto wagon. I have gained 30lbs back but have had a steady weight for a few months now. I keep trying to get back into it but have really struggled with depression and found everything very overwhelming. Making food for five kiddies and my hubby when I make them carbs can be tough. I can be really strict and then I slip up
    A small amount and eat everything I shouldn’t for a few days. This video has helped me see if I can control now....which I can....well it’s always now....I really loved that. So seriously wanted to thank you for that!!

    Bread. I can give up 99% of the carb food but life without white bread is no life at all!

      I actually used to have a few slices of really good homemade sourdough bread during my cutting phase, and so do my clients. You have to be smart about your carbs, certain foods aren't "off limits".

      Hi! I'm a qualified holistic nutritionist and I think Keto can be great for many people. I've done every biohack under the sun including OMAD/keto for 2 years. I've recently found that with the inclusion of really enjoyable weight lifting and hit 5-6 days a week I'm developing a lot of metabolic flexibility--there's a point to this subjective boast! In regards to bread, you said you're able to give up 99% of carb food but life without bread is 'pretty crap'. I get it. So, don't give up bread. Give up all the highly refined grains ( white flour, rice, processed foods, crackers etc) but keep the sourdough, the wholegrain bread. I think you would notice huge changes with this anyway. Diet should be a lifestyle not a ball and chain of existence. And you want to avoid stress ( cortisol) in a negative way because you're body will go into panic and hold onto fat. Each individual is really unique and try the experiment on yourself. If you follow a moderation of bread ( say two slices a day) and ate really fresh whole foods, while being as active as you can, I bet you're health would go from gain to gain. Good luck. Happy health xxx

      Hi Christen, any new way of eating can sometimes be difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually cheaper than anything else (if you take into consideration health care, lost work etc)

    • @FatForWeightLoss
      @FatForWeightLoss  Před 2 lety +2

      Once your body starts burning fats for fuel, you can then be a little more metabolically flexible. I can almost guarantee that there is something much larger underlying that's going on here.
